Mandated Vaccines - Texas Home of the Free?

The following is from the Associated Press -
Gov. Rick Perry ordered Friday that schoolgirls in Texas must be vaccinated against the sexually transmitted virus that causes cervical cancer, making Texas the first state to require the shots.
The girls will have to get Merck & Co.'s new vaccine against strains of the human papillomavirus, or HPV, that are responsible for most cases of cervical cancer.

Merck is bankrolling efforts to pass laws in state legislatures across the country mandating it Gardasil vaccine for girls as young as 11 or 12. It doubled its lobbying budget in Texas and has funneled money through Women in Government, an advocacy group made up of female state legislators around the country.
The Real Effect
  1. This is a brazen attempt to erode individual liberty and promote governmental sovereignty.
  2. This will at a bare minimum, remove one reason for women not to engage in promiscuous behavior. This will result in an increase in the disease in the long term (10 - 50 years) not a decrease. As more women participate in the behavior, the efficacy will not be enough to stem the increase of increased sexual behavior that will give rise to the disease. In addition there will be additional unseen side-effects that will only be seen years later, perhaps as increases in other forms of cancer in women
  3. This demonstrates the increased governmental control through the Trojan horse of public schooling.
  4. Notice that the vaccine is new? Yet Texas is making a state mandate on an unproven vaccine.
The federal government approved Gardasil in June, and a government advisory panel has recommended that all girls get the shots at 11 and 12, before they are likely to be sexually active.
  5. This is a classic example of a corporation lobbying behavior for all in order to sell a product.
The New Jersey-based drug company could generate billions in sales if Gardasil _ at $360 for the three-shot regimen _ were made mandatory across the country.
  6. Women in Government is little more than a front group to promote legislation.

State of the Union: Bush Is Blue

We take a look at the 2007 State of the Union address and what it means for us.

For starters, Bush fingers Iran five times by directly naming the regime and associating it with terrorism. It is hardly a secret that Iran will be next on the chopping block. But first let's look at what is being said:
"First, we must balance the federal budget." "What we need to do is impose spending discipline in Washington, D.C."
Is this why Bush pushed for what is going to be the biggest program in the history of the Federal Government, prescription drugs for seniors? For the sake of "spending discipline"?
"Next, there is the matter of earmarks."
This is Bush's 7th year as president and NOW we are dealing with earmarks.
"Social Security and Medicare and Medicaid are commitments of conscience, so it is our duty to keep them permanently sound. "
This is a ridiculous statement. Just whose conscience are we talking about hear? The middle class that will be stripped to the poor house paying for these legal pay-for-votes in lost pay raises, increased property taxes, and income taxes? This also reveals that most politicians have no inclination what-so-ever to stop taking your money."
"you and I can fix Medicare and Medicaid – and save Social Security."
Isn't "fixing" Medicare a Democratic talking point? And would it really be so bad if Social Security died?
"We must increase funds for students who struggle"
I thought these student need help, not "funds". And what happened to "What we need to do is impose spending discipline in Washington, D.C."
"A future of hope and opportunity requires that all our citizens have affordable and available health care. When it comes to health care, government has an obligation to care for the elderly, the disabled, and poor children."
So you and I do not have an obligation to care for the underclass, it's the government that bares the load. Now if only they funded themselves...
"I propose a standard tax deduction for health insurance that will be like the standard tax deduction for dependents. "
Ah, the start of Universal Health Care coverage.
"this reform will level the playing field for those who do not get health insurance through their job."
Sounds like socialistic talk to me.
"I have asked the Secretary of Health and Human Services to work with Congress to take existing federal funds and use them to create “Affordable Choices” grants."
This would be the next step in Universal Health Care.
"the best health care decisions are made not by government and insurance companies, but by patients and their doctors."
The truth is finally coming in and it's too bad Bush is not advocating these policies."
To secure our border, we are doubling the size of the Border Patrol – and funding new infrastructure and technology."
I will believe it when I see it.
"we cannot fully secure the border unless we take pressure off the border – and that requires a temporary worker program. "
"As a result, they won’t have to try to sneak in..."
They HAVE to sneak in?
"We will enforce our immigration laws at the worksite, "
No you won't. You will do high-profile big busts and yet leave the border wide open.
"and give employers the tools to verify the legal status of their workers"
This is one to watch. This will more than likely morph into the National ID system when the Real ID act comes into effect in 2008. Imagine a database in which you must report in order to get a job, pay taxes, travel, and in general live life.
"Let us build on the work we have done and reduce gasoline usage in the United States by 20 percent in the next ten years "
Just how is the Federal Government going to do that? I'm guessing coercion. But exactly how?
"by setting a mandatory Fuels Standard to require 35 billion gallons of renewable and alternative fuels in 2017"
Ah yes, the wonderful Federal Standards that have screwed us up in first place. This will only make the problem much worse.
"I ask Congress to double the current capacity of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve."
OK, the government spends more on stockpiling. What was that again about spending?

The Real Effect
So George Bush's strategy on controlling spending is to open up the checkbook. I guess with all the Democrats around, he feels the need to fit in.

New Year's Prediction 06' - Review

Let's take a look at how accurate the predictions for 2006 were -
YEAR OF THE PHOENIX - Year 2006
"I believe that 2006 will be the year that sees the birth of the 'Global Conscience' in the "Year of the Phoenix". I believe it will continue if not culminate in 2006.

INTRODUCTION OF 'THE PRINCE' - June 2006
The Real Prediction - At this point I believe that much of this is designed to distract and dupe normal people into believing the Christian rhetoric about "the Beast", that is to say the anti-Christ, is nothing more than movie-induced fantasy. Never mind the fact that the prediction was made 2000 years ago.
I believe that if we get the awaited 'Phoenix Transformation' we will catch at least a high profile glimpse of new and an upcoming world leader who will stun the world with his seeming courage, morality and amazing solutions to the world's problems, specifically the issue of what to do with the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.

The Real Result - Hard to say on this one, we could have seen the long awaited Beast, but at least for now, it doesn't seem that way. POINTS: 0 of 1

ISRAELI NATIONAL ELECTIONS - March 2006
The Real Prediction - This is a difficult nut to crack. I believe that if Sharon runs for the position, he will win. Why? Who knows. The man sold his people out to a group of terrorist thugs in order to achieve peace.
But perhaps the bigger question is will he run if he is having the reported heart problems as a result of his minor stroke? I believe the answer is yes.
The Real Result - Sharon was ready to run and then slipped into a coma. So The Real Effect nails it with -
"perhaps the bigger question is will he run if he is having the reported heart problems as a result of his minor stroke?" POINTS: 1 of 2

THE DOWNFALL OF RELIGION - Winter 2006-2007
The Real Prediction - With 'radicals' being blamed for most if not all of the terrorist acts in the world, Look for a start of a clarion call to 'harmonize' and 'unite' the world in their common belief in a creator. The problem? It's a set-up for a one-world religion that defies Satan and man.
The Real Result - Ok, so 4am is a terrible time for grammar. However, much ink has been spilled since this prediction over the "dangers' of religion and how all should be united into one global religion. POINTS: 2 of 3

BILL CLINTON, U.N. CHIEF - February or July 2006
The Real Prediction - Despite growing anti-American sentiment worldwide, Clinton's Tsunani and Hurricane relief work help peg him as a 'great humanitarian' and what more fitting a post than the head of the United Nations?

The Real Result - True to the prediction, Bill is getting plenty of kudos for his work. However, nothing has happened and Mr. Clinton is not in the position. POINTS: 2 of 4

ESCALATING WARS - 2006
The Real Prediction - As Iraq-weariness begins to set in, Bush shifts strategy to going after Iran and/or Syria as another 'theater' in the global struggle on terror.
Another possibility is that a total surprise retaliation/attack, Russia attacks Israel but is totally defeated.
Yet on the horizon still looms North Korea and most likely China. Perhaps 2009?

The Real Result - Perhaps the story of the year was the American people's rejection of the War in Iraq and Bush's stance with Iran. Like shooting fish in a barrel. POINTS: 3 of 5

TERRORISM - 2006
The Real Prediction - 2005 saw the 777 UK rail bombings and many small terrorist attacks in Bali, Jordan and Iraq. Potential targets include: The Dome on the Rock, Al Aqsa mosque, the Vatican, Chicago's Sears Tower, Italy's 2006 Winter Olympics and Superbowl XV.
The Real Result - All good targets, but no such luck. POINTS: 3 of 6

AMERICAN DECLINE - 2006
The Real Prediction - With wars waging at home and abroad, America's global defeat seems imminent.
  • Economy - A further decline as the housing market continues to cool. POINTS: 4 of 7
  • Government - (Elections in November) - The Republicans will begin to pay for their outspoken arrogance. In representative seats. Watch for fallout from Republican scandal, oil prices, overspending, Constitutional encroachment, war fatigue, and Democratic whining to give the Dems control of the House. POINTS: 5 of 8
  • Immigration - New border wall gets defunded or stalled. Border violence escalates. POINTS: 6 of 9
  • Police State - A continuation of the denigration of the Constitution. RealID is integrated into RFID, CCTV nationwide as we begin to 'not tolerate' a lack of identification. Checkpoints begin to solidify into border controls/anti-terrorism measures. POINTS: 7 of 10
GAS & CRUDE PRICES - April 2006

The Real Prediction - Look for the trend that has been established over the last few years to continue. Gas starts to head upwards as it looks for equalization with overseas markets. Overseas, the price starts heading up to with $6 a gallon in the U.K. and much of Europe and close to if not just over $4 a gallon here in the U.S. POINTS: 7.5/11
Total Result - 7.5 out of 11 or 69%

Not bad, especially when you consider that predictions are being made about global trends. Not easy.

From the Cutting Floor - Russia & China UN-Hip

Originally slated for release on - May 2, 2006

As predicted, Russia and China are putting up a front in the United Nations. This should demonstrate to anyone who is casually paying attention that the U.N.Publish is a worthless, corrupt organization that should not even be in the equation. But, we can't have much of a world empire without a governing power, can we?

As predicted, oil is making moves to the $75 range again.

From the Cutting Floor - American Union Comeback

Originally slated for release on - September 25, 2006

For those who claim that the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA) and the American Union are dead, please consider the following. World Net Daily reports -
"students from 10 universities in the U.S., Mexico and Canada are participating annually in a simulated "model Parliament."
The Real Effect
If you think this isn't going to happen, look at the model that the European Union followed.
  • 1957 Establishment of the European Economic Community (EEC) with Germany, France, Italy and the Benelux countries.
  • 1967 Creation of the European Community (EC).
  • 1987 The "Single European Act" provides for the creation of the Single European Market from 1993 and establishes the goal of a Monetary Union.
  • 1990 Start of stage one of European Monetary Union (EMU) with the full liberalization of capital movements.
  • 1991 Conclusion of the "Maastricht Treaty" on European Union (EU), establishment of the timetable for Monetary Union.
  • 1993 Start of the Single Market permitting the free movement of people, goods, capital and services.
  • 1994 Start of stage two of EMU. The European Monetary Institute (EMI) is established.
  • 1998 Decision on EMU participants, confirmation of the starting date; establishment of the ECB. 1999 Start of the Monetary Union with the fixing of exchange rates; the ECB assumes responsibility for monetary policy and operates in euro; start of the currency changeover in the financial sector.
  • 2002 Euro notes and coins replace the national currencies.
Look at Britain now according to the Sun -
"TONY Blair will ignore voters’ wishes today and hand over Britain’s control of law and order to Brussels. The PM has decided to give up our veto during a crunch meeting with EU officials. He agrees with a plan to give the EU power over cross-border terrorism and the way courts deal with suspects."
The article continues...
"This means we could no longer block EU laws which would be imposed on the UK governing terrorism and court procedures. Rules would govern the way the police and security services act in anti-terror probes. They would also dictate to British courts how evidence is gathered and produced."
Here's the real kicker for all you who are paying attention -
"This is despite promising for the past 10 YEARS he would never surrender control over crunch areas like law."

New Year's Rundown

In preparation for the year end predictions review of 2006 and forecast for 2007 I thought I would run all the blog articles that didn't make it to the blog proper. I'll post them with the title "From the Cutting Floor - " and then post the article as close to complete as I got it. Enjoy.

From the Cutting Floor - Iran - The Gloves Come Off

Originally slated for release on April 28, 2006 -

The word comes from ITV that -
"Iran has received a shipment of missiles from North Korea that are capable of reaching Europe, according to Israel's military intelligence chief. Known in the West as BM-25s, the Russian-designed missiles have a range of around 2,500 km (1,500 miles), giving them a longer reach than the Iranian-made Shihab-4 missiles which are capable of hitting Israel."

I've been burned by Joseph Farah's intelligence before but according to WorldNet Daily -
"Al-Qaida has already obtained nuclear suitcase weapons from the Russian black market, weapons tested in Afghanistan in 2000, and they may have already been forward-deployed inside the U.S., according to the only journalist to interview Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri in the wake of Sept. 11.

Last week, Hamid Mir's credibility skyrocketed when he accurately predicted in Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin and later in WND the imminent release of a new recorded communiqué from bin Laden through al-Jazeera, the Arabic TV network. Two days later, bin Laden's tape was the focus of international news coverage.

Mir believes that an "American Hiroshima" will occur as soon as the U.S. launches an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities."
The Real Effect
I believe that this might be part of the justification that will bring us to North Korea next. After all, if Iran got it's nukes from North Korea, then are we still at risk?

Amero - Coming to a Store Near You

Upon President George W. Bush's signing into law of CAFTA or the Central American Free Trade Agreement, The Real Effect posted the following on Friday, August 05, 2005 -
"Look for an increasing...economic slide of the economy in the 2nd half of 2005 that causes the dollar to slide even further against the Euro setting the stage for a Union currency proposed to be called the Amero."

For your consideration, I present the following evidence. From author Jerome R. Corsi -
"Two analysts who have reconstructed money supply data after the Fed stopped publishing it argue a coming dollar collapse will set the stage for creating the amero as a North American currency to replace the dollar. The reconstructed M3 data – the broadest measure of money – published on econometrician Gary Kuever's website, NowAndFutures.com, shows M3 increased at a rate of 11 percent in May, compared to 9 percent when the Federal Reserve quit publishing M3 data earlier this year.

Asked why the Fed decided to stop publishing M3 data, Kuever told WND, "The Fed probably wants to hide how much liquidity is being pumped into the market, and I expect the trend to keep pumping liquidity into the market will continue, especially since the economy is slowing down.

"The trend line in my M3-plus-debt chart is staggering," Kuever said. "There has been a straight, long-term trend line of M3-plus-credit increasing since 2000. Long-term, we are creating inflation and the dollar has lost almost 98 percent of its value in the past 100 years."
How severe will the coming dollar collapse be?

"People in the U.S. are going to be hit hard," Chapman warned. "In the severe recession we are entering now, Bush will argue that we have to form a North American Union to compete with the Euro."

"Creating the amero," Chapman explained, "will be presented to the American public as the administration's solution for dollar recovery. In the process of creating the amero, the Bush administration just abandons the dollar.""

The Real Effect
Just as predicted, the Amero creeps onto the scene as the solution to the "problem" of the plunging dollar. But just as the creation of the so-called Federal Reserve did nothing to address the real issues behind unstable currency back in 1913, neither will an Amero solve our current dilemma. The issue is not the form that the currency takes, rather it is who controls the currency. Ladies and Gentlemen, we could trade ducks and as long as the Fed is pulling the strings, nothing would change.

I believe I stated this earlier, but look for the American Union, namely the FTAA to re-emerge as a necessary solution to all of our supposed economic woes. It is likely that the Democratic Congress just might pass it.

U.S. Judge Blind On Money

U.S. District Judge James Robertson gives us the following travesty of a ruling -
"The government discriminates against blind people by printing money that all looks and feels the same", and "ordered the Treasury Department to come up with ways for the blind to tell bills apart. He said he wouldn't tell officials how to fix the problem, but he ordered them to begin working on it."
What is his reasoning?

"Of the more than 180 countries that issue paper currency, only the United States prints bills that are identical in size and color in all their denominations,"

"He said the government was violating the Rehabilitation Act, which prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability in government programs."
How about the cost to taxpayers?

"Cost estimates ranged from $75 million in equipment upgrades and $9 million annual expenses for punching holes in bills to $178 million in one-time charges and $50 million annual expenses for printing bills of varying sizes."
The Real Effect
Brilliant. Just because one group of people is having a difficult time with something, we as taxpayers must fork in reality close to 600 million dollars to make it easier for them. Let's take this line of thinking one step further.

What of the color blind? How about the deaf?

If the federal government does not have an all-inclusive solution that suits everyone's needs, then we must be forced to endure years of lawsuits and billions in engineering costs so that it is easier on a vast minority?

I love judges. No, really I do.

Real Effect Back On

I'm baaaaaack....

For those of you unaware, I moved in October and moving a family of eight is no easy feat. The good news for all is that we are settled in now and I am psyched about picking up where I left off!

Blasts at US Syrian Embassy

Hot on the heels of the 9/11 anniversary -
Gunmen apparently blew up a car outside the U.S. Embassy and exchanged fire with Syrian guards in a bold attack inside Damascus' diplomatic neighborhood Tuesday, a witness said. It was not immediately clear if there were casualties. A U.S. Marine guard who answered the phone at the Embassy would not provide any information. In Washington, the State Department said it had no immediate information and was looking into news reports of the attack.

The Real Effect
Is this the watershed event that will justify war with Syria and eventually Iran? With recent Hezbollah activities in Lebanon, Israel's incursion and other factors, this just might be. Of course I have stated repeatedly that Iran and Syria are in the crosshairs and that is only a matter of time. Keep watch on this situation...

Chertoff - U.S. Needs More Authoritah!

Department of Homeland Security chief Michael Chertoff made the following statement on Sunday -
There is no evidence that terrorists were working within the United States as part of a plot to detonate explosives on airliners, but U.S. officials remain on guard after last week's arrests in Britain and Pakistan.
He continues -
"As we speak right now, we have not found any indication of active planning in the U.S. or plans to conduct operations within the U.S.,"
But Chertoff reasons, arrests in Britain demonstrate the need for more "security". According to the AP -
The nation's chief of homeland security said Sunday that the U.S. should consider reviewing its laws to allow for more electronic surveillance and detention of possible terror suspects, citing last week's foiled plot.

Michael Chertoff, secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, stopped short of calling for immediate changes, noting there might be constitutional barriers to the type of wide police powers the British had in apprehending suspects in the plot to blow up airliners headed to the U.S.
So basically Chertoff is saying there is NO evidence that ANYTHING is being planned that they are aware of, yet we need MORE surveillance and security. Darn those constitutional barriers!
The Real Effect
On Friday I stated the following -
Watch for the story to die down, yet the call to "vigilance" and "protection" grows while pushing the conclusion of the story aside.
So what does Chertoff say?
"the U.S. is remaining vigilant for other attacks"
So, let's sum up. No threat to the U.S., no new threats to the U.S. but more power and authority needed to stop future non-threats.

Sheer brilliance.

Foiled Terror Plot - A Dry Run On Martial Law?

Another day and experts are hoisted in front of the camera, relieved passengers are interviewed and yes, we give up more liberty. Why? Because a group of people claim that we are under attack from a shadowy master enemy. Didn't some German dictator blame some Jews for the world's problems not that long ago?

But wait, what are we in danger from.

Gatorade... yes, explosive Gatorade.

Jokingly, when I was watching this unfold late last night, I said to myself, "Watch the TSA ban everything but baby formula."

I hate it when I'm right.

But why do this? Look at the highlight/result. An "unprecedented" red alert on U.K. planes to the U.S., a ban on almost all liquids on U.S. planes and a sudden 'interest' in Operation Bojinka. In addition, as if needing to prove that they are "serious about terror" governors Mitt Romney and Arnold Schwarzenegger are deploying the national guard.
So is this one real or another fake alert like all the alerts before them? Here are just a few recent fakes:

And people mock conspiracy theorists...at least we don't get BILLIONS of dollars from your pocket and prove ourselves WRONG on a regular basis. This is not to say, however, that the trigger could not be pulled at any time and 'validate' the government line. Just look at Bush's comment to understand just what they want us to think -

"The American people need to know we live in a dangerous world, but our government will do everything we can to protect our people from those dangers."
    Let's restate that -

'You need to know that it's scary out here, but if you give us more power, it won't happen to you, our people.'
How is that any different than "protection money"?

    The Real Effect
I will go over this real slowly, so all may understand. If you create a terrorist and then your own 'experts' to testify to the nastiness of this terrorist and then the aforementioned terrorist does something scary, you get billions of dollars in funding and tons more control over a populace. I believe that it is the oldest trick in the book.

Watch for the story to die down, yet the call to "vigilance" and "protection" grows while pushing the conclusion of the story aside. And all it takes to solidify it in your mind, is one terrorist attack that they tell you is from the "terrorist" and liberty becomes a forethought reserved for the annals of history.

As a matter of fact, as I type this, the British Home Secretary John Reid is on MSNBC declaring that he will have a "long, wide, deep struggle" and "vigilance".

Thinking about this some more, I have to add that there might be a couple of "terrorists" still out there, planning, waiting. They just might use this to foist some power on themselves over the next few weeks. Then again, this might get pulled off, justifying the war in Iran.

Mideast Notes - The Real Effect On Target

I just wanted to get some quick points down for the record. Here is my take on the situation in the Mideast as it currently stands.

    The Real Effect
We all know by know that the basic formula for world events is "problem + reaction = solution". In other words, create a problem, that causes a reaction and then you are free to offer a solution. Using this formula, let us think backwards.

We know that the endgame solution is to create a one-world government with a universal world leader. So the question becomes how to create a situation bad enough to warrant a world dictatorship? This is where the Mideast comes in.

I see the situation as going a little something like this:
    • Israel continues to assert their right to "defend themselves". Something that they have been virtually unwilling to do for the last twenty years.
    • This leads to more and more involvement with neighboring nations such as Syria, Iran and to a lesser extent China, Russia, Venezuela and North Korea.
    • Hezbollah continues to schalack Israeli cities. (Tel Aviv told to be on rocket alert)
    • Other countries begin to remove their people and send in peacekeepers/forces to assist which inevitably become targets. (U.S. Evacuation Teams Arrive in Lebanon)
    • Fixed intelligence links the aforementioned nations of Iran, Syria and then Russia and company justifying war. (Bush Suspicious of Iranians
    As I predicted -
"As Iraq-weariness begins to set in, Bush shifts strategy to going after Iran and/or Syria as another 'theater' in the global struggle on terror."
As I predicted six months ago, the situation devolves into open war in order to stabilize the world. (Us vs. Them mentality)
"But in order to truly bring in the "New World Order" a sacrifice of a greater scale is going to be needed. I believe that we have yet to see the global war that will create the supposed level of sacrifice needed to attain this and that a much larger one will be required. However, there is definitely a time table for this and it is running short."
As I predicted, oil continues to climb to $4 a gallon (Crude climbs back near record high $78)
"Look for the trend that has been established over the last few years to continue. Gas starts to head upwards as it looks for equalization with overseas markets. Overseas, the price starts heading up to with $6 a gallon in the U.K. and much of Europe and close to if not just over $4 a gallon here in the U.S."
As I predicted, during this the U.N. is helpless and only exasperates the problem, leading to the call to a more efficient system. Thus the call for the world leader starts.
"I believe that if we get the awaited 'Phoenix Transformation' we will catch at least a high profile glimpse of new and an upcoming world leader who will stun the world with his seeming courage, morality and amazing solutions to the world's problems, specifically the issue of what to do with the Israeli/Palestinian conflict."
This also extends the Bush doctrine of "If you're not with us, you're with the terrorists.", except this will be converted into a worldwide call against organized religion and eventually be specifically targeted against Judaism and Christendom.
That's it for now. If I get some time later, I'll post some more.

        Gaza World War?

        Quick note...

This situation in the Gaza strip has got me a tad bit worried. It seems like an absolute powder keg waiting to go off. This could evolve into an extremely dangerous situation.

        The Real Effect
History is replete with examples of countries diving headlong into war over the death of one or a few individuals. Please watch the situation closely.

        Eminent Domain Musings

Down in Florida, the Sun-Sentinel.com reports:

The city (Hollywood) cannot take a family's downtown property and give it to a private developer, a judge ruled Thursday, ending a two-year legal battle and potentially jeopardizing a $100 million condominium complex.
Broward Circuit Court Judge Ronald J. Rothschild's ruling in favor of the Mach family, which has owned the 2,900-square-foot building on Harrison Street for decades, came as a blow to Mayor Mara Giulianti and city commissioners.

They wanted to use eminent domain to replace the Mach structure with a 19-story condo and retail tower as part of downtown revitalization plans.
I found the following line to be extremely interesting. In it the Mayor of Hollywood, Mara Giulianti makes the following statement about the developer (Abele) dealing with the property owners (Machs):
"I just don't want to see Chip [Abele] up his offer to the Machs, because it sends a message to property owners that they can demand whatever they want from developers."
Yes Comrade Giulianti. We would hate to allow the principles of free trade operate here. In addition, the developer gets his 2 cents in as well:
"If the question is, do we need that property to physically build our project, then the answer is no."
"But if you're looking at the whole needs of a community, to make sure that it's safe for pedestrians and foot traffic all around, and that you keep redeveloping the area, then there's no question that we need that property,"
I'm sure that the developer is interested in the "safe"ty of all who are involved. The article continues:
"Now, without eminent domain powers, developers will have to deal directly with landowners."
Oh the humanity, what will these poor developers do? Without all that extra power how will they have enough power to take ove.. er, "redevelop" huge swaths of land?
        The Real Effect
World Net Daily and the Drudge Report is running that President George W. Bush has issued an executive order prohibiting Federal agencies from aquiring land in the new Supreme Court issued fashion.

The fact that it was issued on the one year anniversary lends to my thought that this order is solely done for public consumption and not out of any sense of 'justice' that the President may have.

I believe that much of the reviewing of the law and new court opinions will more than likely push the pendulum further towards Socialistic ideals as judges and legislators rule in favor of property owners, yet develop new international guidelines to 'guide' their decisions.

        The Real Effect
For a supposed "conspiracy theory" group that didn't "officially" exist up until last year, they certainly do hold a lot of powerful members in their membership. Many events are in-fact, planned at these meetings and this year will be no exception. Hopefully we will get news on the long awaited Iran invasion and other breaking details. As always, I will do my best to bring you the latest news from this powerful "light center" as the details come in.

National Wireless Grids and Individual Spying

        From the AFP -
Chicago could soon become the world's largest Internet cafe now that the city hall has put out a request for bids to build a city-wide wireless Internet system.

The goal is to provide inexpensive -- or even free -- Internet access to all residents in order to help Chicago bridge the digital divide, Mayor Richard Daley said in a statement Tuesday.

This joins scores of cities around the country that are planning to offer the service as well as my home city of Racine.
        The Real Effect
        Now students, let's think critically.

        1. Why would cities want to offer this as a city service?
        2. Is this a service that should be handled by a government?
        3. Is the private sector NOT handling this type of service?
        4. Does anyone believe that a government is the most efficient way to handle most services?
        5. Is there a possible ulterior motive?
Now naturally I can only provide my opinion and relevant facts on this and I believe the answers are as follows:
        1. Publicly to "bridge the digital divide". Code speak for socialism. Whenever government seizes from one to give to another so that things may be equal that is a socialist policy. This ignores the fundamental right to property.
        2. No - perhaps coordinated.
        3. Not only is the private sector providing wireless options, but many companies are leading the way in developing key technology, products and procedure.
        4. Government routinely demonstrates an outstanding ability to be anti-efficient. Projects such as this are problem laden and generally come in overbudget.
        5. Yes. Is it any coincidence that spying seems to be a problem in our culture? Consider the explosion in CCTV, RFID tagging in your Levis and government mandates such as the National Animal Identification System and the defacto nation ID - the Real ID act.
We have cameras going up nationwide, surveillance of phone calls, black boxes in all automobiles, Verichipping starting up and you want to tell me that the city wide wireless grid is for the citizen's benefit? No, this is to set the total surveillance society in place.

        Some Time Off

My apologies to all my readers, I recently was in negotiations to procure a new job in another city and had to devote a decent amount of time to getting my 'house in order'. Posts will be coming shortly.

        Birdstorm Update

        Reuters exclaims -
Experts fear bird flu movie may spur panic
I was thinking the exact same thing. Except I was thinking that the panic would stem from the terrible plot and atrocious acting. From the article -
"I worry that this could very well be portrayed by many as ultimate example of sensationalism..."
Funny, I thought the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) has the market on that one.

        The Real Effect

What is frightening is the following information -
Health and Human Services Secretary Michael Leavitt has been holding meetings in the 50 states and territories to convince businesses, educators and individuals to prepare for a pandemic that could throw 40 percent of the workforce out of action for weeks on end.

Pennsylvania Health Secretary Dr. Calvin Johnson and state Agriculture Secretary Dennis Wolff announced the launch of their Web site, http://www.pandemicflu.state.pa.us/, to coincide with the TV film.
So what we have is a non event that is being turned into a cataclysmic TV event that is piggybacked by the government. Now that's good policy...

        Until tomorrow...
