Brittania Lockdown

From the Telegraph - (Excuse the length, emphasis mine)

Train passengers face routine airline-style bag checks and body searches as part of a new counter-terror crackdown announced by Gordon Brown. He conjured up visions of ''Fortress Britain" as he unveiled a succession of security measures at airports, railway stations, sports venues and other public places.
The Prime Minister said a review of vulnerable buildings and crowded spaces like shopping centres had led to a rethink of the way they are protected. More than 250 busy railway stations, airports and seaports as well as 100 "sensitive" installations like power stations and electricity substations will be given extra security. This could include screening luggage at major stations like London King's Cross or Manchester Piccadilly using mobile checking devices that can be moved around the country. More buildings will be defended by barriers to stop car bomb attacks, extra blast-proofing, vehicle exclusion zones and metal detectors.

New security guidance is being sent out to sports venues, pubs, clubs and bars, shopping centres and tourist attractions together with thousands of cinemas and theatres, restaurants and hotels. Advice will also be given to hospitals, schools and places of worship on how to keep visitors safe.

Some 160 counter-terrorism advisers will train civilian staff to identify suspect activity and ensure premises have adequate emergency facilities and make best use of their CCTV footage.

Mr Brown conceded there had to be a balance between excessive security and public protection against terrorism. ''We must ensure that the travelling public are able to go about their business in the normal way," he said.

David Cameron, the Tory leader, said Mr Brown's statement contained "a number of good ideas". He accepted tougher measures were needed because the terrorist threat was now of "a completely different order" to that faced in the past. But he added: "As a nation we also need the hard-nosed defence of our liberties." Vincent Cable, the acting Liberal democrat leader, said: "Our main concern remains the issue of pre-charge detention."

The Real Effect
Yikes. Can this be any more spelled out? For those of you that pay attention, remember years ago when all the CCTV was going in the UK? Then how the United States started adopting the same measures over time? Let's look at it again:
  • Train passengers facing airline-style bag checks and body searches
  • A succession of security measures at airports, railway stations, sports venues and other public places.
  • New security guidance is being sent out to sports venues, pubs, clubs and bars, shopping centres and tourist attractions together with thousands of cinemas and theatres, restaurants and hotels. Advice will also be given to hospitals, schools and places of worship.
  • 160 counter-terrorism advisers will train civilian staff.
We are seeing the systematic introduction of police state style incorporation into the global control grid in an attempt to control not terrorism, but in fact, people.

Amero - Not So Conspiratorial, Is it?

The following is from CNN -
KING: E-mail from Mrs. Gonzalez in Elizabeth, New Jersey. "Mr. Fox, I would like to know how you feel about the possibility of having a Latin America united with one currency?"

FOX: Long term, very long term. What we propose together, President Bush and myself, it's ALCA, which is a trade union for all of the Americas. And everything was running fluently until Hugo Chavez came. He decided to isolate himself. He decided to combat the idea and destroy the idea...

KING: It's going to be like the euro dollar, you mean?
FOX: Well, that would be long, long term. I think the processes to go, first step into is trading agreement. And then further on, a new vision, like we are trying to do with NAFTA.
From World Net Daily -

Former Mexican President Vicente Fox confirmed the existence of a plan conceived with President Bush to create a new regional currency in the Americas, in an interview last night on CNN's "Larry King Live."
According to a transcript published by CNN, King, near the end of the broadcast, asked Fox a question e-mailed from a listener, a Ms. Gonzalez from Elizabeth, N.J.: "Mr. Fox, I would like to know how you feel about the possibility of having a Latin America united with one currency?"
Fox answered in the affirmative, indicating it was a long-term plan. He admitted he and President Bush had agreed to pursue the Free Trade Agreement of the Americas – a free-trade zone extending throughout the Western Hemisphere, suggesting part of the plan was to institute eventually a regional currency.

And some more from Prison Planet.com -

Fox called for U.S. immigration reform stating "It's my impression that fear is guiding public opinion here and xenophobia.
When asked if he supported globalization through NAFTA, Fox responded: "Yes, absolutely, NAFTA has been good, as a matter of fact we should have a new vision, go further, integrating and working together to build a better future for both. "That happened with Spain and with the European Union with them joining the union and having access to those huge cohesive bonds, they were able to overcome poverty and today Spain, or Ireland or Greece or Portugal are all very successful nations, what you need is a little bit of solidarity." Stewart then went on to ask "Would you like to see a North American Union with the U.S. Mexico, and Canada, you want Canada in there?" To which Fox responded "Yes long term, yes."

In yet another separate interview Fox also stated that he believes "racists" are preventing increased immigration into the U.S.: "The xenophobics, the racists, those who feel they are a superior race ... they are deciding the future of this nation," he said in an interview with The Associated Press.
The Real Effect
This is one of the first steps in acclimating the public as a whole to the idea of a possibility of a North American Union. The logic goes something like this: March out a semi-credible figure (Fox) to speak about the possibility of a Union, then have this figure speak in Utopian lingual of the glories of harmonization while simultaneously decrying all who would oppose just a mere idea. After all, we don't criticize ideas do we?

Look for figures in the U.S. government to begin to echo bits of this rhetoric as they begin to sell us, the sheeple, on the North American Union. Over the next few years we should start to see a solid push to implement the FTAA and NAU.

Sarkozy, A Guy to Watch

The Real Effect
I'm going to cut right to the chase on this one. Quite frankly, this guy worries me. He is supposedly pro-U.S. and democracy, yet he is invoking an authority that smacks of a new breed of globalist. In the past the globalist have stated opinion and suggested that we the uneducated masses should adopt them as some sort of universal solvent. Now, Sarkovy speaks in broad, almost empowered, ideas as if we are already present in the New Utopia and he is issuing a clarion call to look around and behold it's grandeur.

Let's look at a few statements:
The United Nations should avail itself as an instrument for a "new world order of the 21st century," French President Nicolas Sarkozy said Tuesday in his first address to the General Assembly.
"In the name of France, I call upon all states to join ranks in order to found the new world order of the 21st century on the notion that the common goods that belong to all of humankind must be the common responsibility for us all,"
French President Nicolas Sarkozy told the U.N. General Assembly that allowing Iran to arm itself with nuclear weapons would be an ``unacceptable risk to stability in the region and in the world.''
That's it for the moment, but I believe this guy is dangerous. Very dangerous.

Iran...Pull the Trigger Already

Let us consider the developments over the last few weeks in the forthcoming Iranian/Syrian war:

* August 15, 2007 -
The United States has decided to designate Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps, the country's 125,000-strong military branch, as a "specially designated global terrorist," according to U.S. officials, a move that allows Washington to target the group's business operations and finances.

* August 30, 2007 - NY Times -
A B-52 bomber took off from Minot Air Force base in North Dakota with six nuclear warheads. They were supposed to be detached from cruise missiles before the flight.

Larry Johnson raises the possibility that the nukes were headed to the Mideast via Barksdale Air Force Base.

*September 4, 2007 - Infowars reports -
Dick Cheney has ordered top Neo-Con media outlets, including Fox News and the Wall Street Journal, to unleash a PR blitz to sell a war with Iran from today, according to Barnett Rubin, the highly respected Afghanistan expert at New York University.
* Septemer 6, 2007 -According to the UK Independent, Israel has found nuke sites in Syria
Israel believes that North Korea has been supplying Syria and Iran with nuclear materials, a Washington defense official told the New York Times. “The Israelis think North Korea is selling to Iran and Syria what little they have left,” he said.
In addition -
Israeli jets "bombed a Syrian-Iranian missile base in northern Syria that was financed by Iran... It appears that the base was completely destroyed."
* September 7, 2007 - Fox News - Iran fined
Iran must pay $2.65 billion to the families of the 241 U.S. service members killed in the 1983 bombing of the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut, a federal judge declared Friday.
* September 9, 2007 -
U.S. General David Pratreus testifies to Congress of a "proxy war" in Iraq against Iran. He strongly implied that it would soon be necessary to obtain authorisation to take action against Iran within its own borders, rather than just inside Iraq.

* September 10, 2007 - According to the Wall Street Journal -
The Pentagon is preparing to build a military base near the Iraq-Iran border to try to curtail the flow of advanced Iranian weaponry to Shiite militants across Iraq

Quoting Maj. Gen. Rick Lynch, the commander of the Army's 3rd Infantry Division, the Journal said the Pentagon also plans to build fortified checkpoints on major highways leading from the Iranian border to Baghdad, and install X-ray machines and explosives-detecting sensors at the only formal border crossing between the two countries.

"We've got a major problem with Iranian munitions streaming into Iraq. This Iranian interference is troubling and we have to stop it."
*September 12, 2007 - Again, the UK Independent, we are sending British troops to the Iraqi/Irani border -
The UK operation, in which up to 350 troops are involved, has come at the request of the Americans, who say that elements close to the Iranian regime have stepped up supplies of weapons to Shia militias in recent weeks in preparation for attacks inside Iraq.

The mission will include the King's Royal Hussars battle group, 250 of whom were told at the weekend that they would be returning to the UK as part of a drawdown of forces in Iraq.

The Iranians have threatened military action in response to attacks launched from Iraqi territory while the Pentagon has announced the building of a US base and fortified checkpoints at the frontier.
Fox News -

Political and military officers, as well as weapons of mass destruction specialists at the State Department, are now advising Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice that the diplomatic approach favored by (Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Nicholas) Burns has failed and the administration must actively prepare for military intervention of some kind.
Consequently, according to a well-placed Bush administration source, "everyone in town" is now participating in a broad discussion about the costs and benefits of military action against Iran, with the likely timeframe for any such course of action being over the next eight to 10 months, after the presidential primaries have probably been decided, but well before the November 2008 elections.
The Real Effect
Could we be going into Iran? Nah... Fox News and the Wall Street Journal are pushing a war? Nah...

I believe that it is likely that the U.S. is asking the U.K. to get closer to the action so they'll get shot at, stay in Iraq and help with Iran.

I am close to amazed that it is taking as long as it is for the U.S. to go after Iran. I started researching the topic in early 1997, predicted an attack on Iran by 2005 in 1999 and for the last 2 years have been listening to the shrill cries of how we should invade, but it has not seemed that we have had the political guts to back up our rhetoric.

I have said and will say again that this is escalation warfare designed to destroy the American will and ultimately the United States itself. With the logical progression being: Afghanistan -> Iraq -> Iran/Syria -> North Korea -> China/Russia(Japan?)

American Union Driver's Licenses are Here

From World Net Daily -
The first "North American Union" driver's license, complete with a hologram of the continent on the reverse, has been created in North Carolina. "The North Carolina driver's license is 'North American Union' ready," charges William Gheen, president of Americans for Legal Immigration. Gheen provided WND with a photo of an actual North Carolina license which clearly shows the hologram of the North American continent embedded on the reverse. "The hologram looks exactly [like] the map of North America that is used as the background for the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America logo on the SPP website," Gheen told WND. "I object to the loss of sovereignty that is proceeding under the agreements being made by these unelected government bureaucrats who think we should be North American instead of the United States of America.

So being at least a semi-decent news agency, WND contacted the North Carolina DMV and asked if this was for real. Here is their response -
Marge Howell, spokeswoman for the North Carolina DMV, affirmed to WND the state was embedding a hologram of North America on the back of its new driver's licenses. "It's a security element that eventually will be on the back of every driver's license in North America," Howell told WND.

Did everyone catch that? Let me repost just for clarification -
"It's a security element that eventually will be on the back of every driver's license in North America,"
This begs several questions:
  1. How does a North Carolina DMV representative know what Canada, Mexico and all other North American countries are planning on doing with their driver's licenses?
  2. How would all the aforementioned countries be able to implement such a thing if there where no such plan for an North American Union?
  3. Why would these countries use the same security feature if not participating in this Union?

The article continues -
Howell explained the hologram of the continent was the creation of the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators, a tax-exempt, nonprofit organization that, according to the group's website, "develops model programs in motor vehicle administration, law enforcement and highway safety." Founded in 1933, AAMVA represents state and provincial officials in the United States and Canada who administer and enforce motor vehicle laws. The government of Mexico is also a member, though the individual Mexican states have yet to join. According to the group's website, AAMVA's programs are designed "to encourage uniformity and reciprocity among the states and provinces." "The goal of the North American hologram," Howell explained, "is to get one common element that law enforcement throughout the continent can look at on all driver's licenses and tell that the driver's license is an official document."

Of course it's got to get weirder -
AAMVA supplies member motor vehicle agencies with a quantity of North American continent hologram OVD foils to use on their driver's licenses and ID cards as needed. As the AAMVA guidelines document explains, each North American hologram OVD foil is embedded with a unique set of control numbers that permit law enforcement electronic scanners to identify the exact jurisdiction and precise individual authorized to hold a driver's license or ID card. "AAMVA understands its unique positioning and the continuing role identification security will play in helping the general public realize a safer North America," King explained to WND in an e-mail.

The Real Effect
Here is what I stated on 1/24/2007 -
This is one to watch. This will more than likely morph into the National ID system when the Real ID act comes into effect in 2008. Imagine a database in which you must report in order to get a job, pay taxes, travel, and in general live life.
More in depth info can be found on 9/22/2005 and 9/20/2005.

The globalists are being discovered and rather than stop the agenda and play dumb, they are attempting to pretend that it either does not exist by using coy word games or imploring us that this is the only true way that we can be safe from those nasty terrorists.

Look for the DMV officials and other politicians to pretend that this is nothing more than a cost-saving technique designed by some innocent people that has absolutely nothing to do with anything remotely NAU orientated.

Bilderberg 2007 - Early Reports

The Bilderbergers have met again and we now have at least preliminary reports of what is to be expected for the next year in New World Order happenings. You can read Jim Tucker's report and Daniel Eustelin's. In addition, here is the participant list.

Major key points to note:

The EU Constitution is resurrected -

Peter Sutherland, chairman of British Petroleum and Goldman Sachs International, among others, said it was a mistake for the Netherlands and France to kill the EU constitution by putting it to a popular vote so the public could reject it. “You knew there was a rise in nationalism; you should have let your parliaments ratify the treaty, and it should be done with,” Sutherland fumed. His views were applauded with no apparent dissent.
“Tell your people you fixed the treaty to meet their complaints, and let your parliaments ratify without a popular vote,” he said.

The American Union moves forward -
“We must help the enlightened media, as opposed to small journals obsessed with national sovereignty, understand that it is the patriotic duty of the people to support the North American zone [U.S. Mexico and Canada] because it will bring prosperity to the poor and put food in the mouths of hungry babies,” Henry Kissinger said. “Then it can expand, as NAFTA was intended, to all the Western Hemisphere and evolve into the ‘American Union.’ ”
Bush moves to support the Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST) -

A treaty which would hand over virtually the entire ocean's resources to the United Nations.
Bilderberg participants said “pressure has been applied,” and Bush is expected to announce support of the LOST “soon.” Bush’s national security adviser, Stephen Hadley, has asked the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Joe Biden (D-Del.), to secure ratification “soon.”
Gasoline prices moving towards $6 a gallon -

A United Nations gasoline tax pushing us towards "sustainable growth"
...demands by Bilderberg is for the United State to increase gasoline taxes so the price will rise “significantly” to more than $6 a gallon. The argument is that this will reduce driving and thus emissions. They argued, with little or no dissent from Americans, that Europeans already pay that much or more.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports on the Heritage Foundation report -
“A review of S. 1419, including the just-completed section on tax changes, reveals that the bill could increase the price of regular unleaded gasoline from $3.14 per gallon (the early May national average) to $6.40 in 2016 — a 104 percent increase,”
Iran - Key air strikes
Any U.S. military action must be limited to strategic airstrikes and no attacks by land, or “boots on the ground,” several Europeans said. But Americans must remain in Iraq, Kissinger said.

Street lockdowns proposed for Baltimore

This can only be described as martial law -
A city council leader, alarmed by Baltimore's rising homicide rate, wants to give the mayor the power to put troubled neighborhoods under virtual lockdown.

"Desperate measures are needed when we're in desperate situations," City Council Vice President Robert W. Curran told The (Baltimore) Sun. He said he would introduce the legislation next week.

Under Curran's plan, the mayor could declare "public safety act zones," which would allow police to close liquor stores and bars, limit the number of people on city sidewalks, and halt traffic during two-week intervals.

Police would be encouraged to aggressively stop and frisk individuals in those zones to search for weapons and drugs.

Baltimore has tallied 108 homicides already this year, compared to 98 over the same period last year. Police and prosecutors also say they are facing a "stop snitching" culture that discourages victims and witnesses from cooperating with investigators trying to get criminals off the streets.

Councilman Keiffer J. Mitchell Jr., a mayoral hopeful, said Curran's idea was an interesting concept but it raised questions about civil liberties.

"We have to make sure we're not declaring martial law," he said.

The Real Effect
Let me get this straight you can close legitimate tax-paying businesses at will, prohibit people from traveling either by sidewalk or vehicle and then "aggressively" search them (probably without warrant) thereby violating their rights guaranteed by the fourth amendment and this is not martial law? Ridiculous!

The Amero Push Is On

The Council On Foreign Relations (CFR) is making a push to end "monetary nationalism" in their policy piece The End of National Currency.

Offering up their view on a supposed problem, which in reality is a manufactured crisis -
"The economics profession has failed to offer anything resembling a coherent and compelling response to currency crises."

"Antiglobalization economists have turned the problem on its head by absolving governments"

"This is a dangerous misdiagnosis. In fact, capital flows became destabilizing only after countries began asserting "sovereignty" over money..."
"...even if the march of globalization is not inevitable, the world economy and the international financial system have evolved in such a way that there is no longer a viable model for economic development outside of them."

"The right course is not to return to a mythical past of monetary sovereignty, with governments controlling local interest and exchange rates in blissful ignorance of the rest of the world. Governments must let go of the fatal notion that nationhood requires them to make and control the money used in their territory. National currencies and global markets simply do not mix; together they make a deadly brew of currency crises and geopolitical tension and create ready pretexts for damaging protectionism. In order to globalize safely, countries should abandon monetary nationalism and abolish unwanted currencies, the source of much of today's instability."

The Real Effect
From The Real Effect, October 4, 2005 -
I am on record predicting that this will lead to something, specifically a call to globalize the western hemisphere into a 'competitive market', the new American Union. I have also heard rumors that this will come complete with a brand new currency, the Amero.
Once again, those who are in the know and pulling the strings are "pro"gressive and those opposed to world tyranny are "anti" something. Notice the sense of futility that they are trying to create? 'Well, world government is the only viable option and national currency is "dangerous" so the only solution is to create global currencies.' Whew! At least they are thinking of us.
Need more info? Read an article by Jerome R. Corsi. and another article dealing with Michael Medved. Don't believe it's real? Check out the government website.

Combine all of this with the massive inflation (I believe I saw 10.8% per annum), a collapsing housing market, aggressive energy prices and massive government spending which shows no sign of slowing and we have a recipe for disaster.

EU: A Global Army

While nothing spectacularly new or stunning, I submit the following: German Chancellor Angela Merkel said the European Union should aim to create a common army within the next 50 years
"We need to get closer to a common army for Europe," Merkel last week told German daily Bild.
Peter Schmidt, a European security and defense policy expert at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs, a Berlin-based think tank, told UPI that an EU army would also need a fortified political basis.

The Real Effect
For those that don't see the North American Union as a real problem, please take notice of what is happening over in Europe. Coming soon to a country near you...

Iran: The Gears of War Start Turning

It would seem that Iran is in the cross hairs. Please consider the following articles:

British soldiers paraded on TV,
Russian Intelligence Cites U.S. Buildup On Iran Border,
Gulf Buildup Biggest Since Iraq Invasion

The Real Effect

What do I believe is going to happen? Yikes. This has been a war that has been a long time coming and every time it seems that Bush is ready to pull the trigger, they put the event off.

However, I believe at this point this is going to to be the case.

Bush cannot tolerate the capture of British sailors AND Iran's involvement in Iraq/nuclear weapons. So in order to minimize casualties making the war more palatable, low-yield tactical nuclear devices dispensed by a precision air strike and special forces liberating the captured soldiers will start the event. This will force Iran to close the Straits of Hormuz which will result in incremental gas increases setting record crude prices within days. (This coupled with the proposed $1 a gallon global warming gas tax will eventual cripple the American economy)

Mandated Vaccines - Texas Home of the Free?

The following is from the Associated Press -
Gov. Rick Perry ordered Friday that schoolgirls in Texas must be vaccinated against the sexually transmitted virus that causes cervical cancer, making Texas the first state to require the shots.
The girls will have to get Merck & Co.'s new vaccine against strains of the human papillomavirus, or HPV, that are responsible for most cases of cervical cancer.

Merck is bankrolling efforts to pass laws in state legislatures across the country mandating it Gardasil vaccine for girls as young as 11 or 12. It doubled its lobbying budget in Texas and has funneled money through Women in Government, an advocacy group made up of female state legislators around the country.
The Real Effect
  1. This is a brazen attempt to erode individual liberty and promote governmental sovereignty.
  2. This will at a bare minimum, remove one reason for women not to engage in promiscuous behavior. This will result in an increase in the disease in the long term (10 - 50 years) not a decrease. As more women participate in the behavior, the efficacy will not be enough to stem the increase of increased sexual behavior that will give rise to the disease. In addition there will be additional unseen side-effects that will only be seen years later, perhaps as increases in other forms of cancer in women
  3. This demonstrates the increased governmental control through the Trojan horse of public schooling.
  4. Notice that the vaccine is new? Yet Texas is making a state mandate on an unproven vaccine.
The federal government approved Gardasil in June, and a government advisory panel has recommended that all girls get the shots at 11 and 12, before they are likely to be sexually active.
  5. This is a classic example of a corporation lobbying behavior for all in order to sell a product.
The New Jersey-based drug company could generate billions in sales if Gardasil _ at $360 for the three-shot regimen _ were made mandatory across the country.
  6. Women in Government is little more than a front group to promote legislation.

State of the Union: Bush Is Blue

We take a look at the 2007 State of the Union address and what it means for us.

For starters, Bush fingers Iran five times by directly naming the regime and associating it with terrorism. It is hardly a secret that Iran will be next on the chopping block. But first let's look at what is being said:
"First, we must balance the federal budget." "What we need to do is impose spending discipline in Washington, D.C."
Is this why Bush pushed for what is going to be the biggest program in the history of the Federal Government, prescription drugs for seniors? For the sake of "spending discipline"?
"Next, there is the matter of earmarks."
This is Bush's 7th year as president and NOW we are dealing with earmarks.
"Social Security and Medicare and Medicaid are commitments of conscience, so it is our duty to keep them permanently sound. "
This is a ridiculous statement. Just whose conscience are we talking about hear? The middle class that will be stripped to the poor house paying for these legal pay-for-votes in lost pay raises, increased property taxes, and income taxes? This also reveals that most politicians have no inclination what-so-ever to stop taking your money."
"you and I can fix Medicare and Medicaid – and save Social Security."
Isn't "fixing" Medicare a Democratic talking point? And would it really be so bad if Social Security died?
"We must increase funds for students who struggle"
I thought these student need help, not "funds". And what happened to "What we need to do is impose spending discipline in Washington, D.C."
"A future of hope and opportunity requires that all our citizens have affordable and available health care. When it comes to health care, government has an obligation to care for the elderly, the disabled, and poor children."
So you and I do not have an obligation to care for the underclass, it's the government that bares the load. Now if only they funded themselves...
"I propose a standard tax deduction for health insurance that will be like the standard tax deduction for dependents. "
Ah, the start of Universal Health Care coverage.
"this reform will level the playing field for those who do not get health insurance through their job."
Sounds like socialistic talk to me.
"I have asked the Secretary of Health and Human Services to work with Congress to take existing federal funds and use them to create “Affordable Choices” grants."
This would be the next step in Universal Health Care.
"the best health care decisions are made not by government and insurance companies, but by patients and their doctors."
The truth is finally coming in and it's too bad Bush is not advocating these policies."
To secure our border, we are doubling the size of the Border Patrol – and funding new infrastructure and technology."
I will believe it when I see it.
"we cannot fully secure the border unless we take pressure off the border – and that requires a temporary worker program. "
"As a result, they won’t have to try to sneak in..."
They HAVE to sneak in?
"We will enforce our immigration laws at the worksite, "
No you won't. You will do high-profile big busts and yet leave the border wide open.
"and give employers the tools to verify the legal status of their workers"
This is one to watch. This will more than likely morph into the National ID system when the Real ID act comes into effect in 2008. Imagine a database in which you must report in order to get a job, pay taxes, travel, and in general live life.
"Let us build on the work we have done and reduce gasoline usage in the United States by 20 percent in the next ten years "
Just how is the Federal Government going to do that? I'm guessing coercion. But exactly how?
"by setting a mandatory Fuels Standard to require 35 billion gallons of renewable and alternative fuels in 2017"
Ah yes, the wonderful Federal Standards that have screwed us up in first place. This will only make the problem much worse.
"I ask Congress to double the current capacity of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve."
OK, the government spends more on stockpiling. What was that again about spending?

The Real Effect
So George Bush's strategy on controlling spending is to open up the checkbook. I guess with all the Democrats around, he feels the need to fit in.

New Year's Prediction 06' - Review

Let's take a look at how accurate the predictions for 2006 were -
YEAR OF THE PHOENIX - Year 2006
"I believe that 2006 will be the year that sees the birth of the 'Global Conscience' in the "Year of the Phoenix". I believe it will continue if not culminate in 2006.

INTRODUCTION OF 'THE PRINCE' - June 2006
The Real Prediction - At this point I believe that much of this is designed to distract and dupe normal people into believing the Christian rhetoric about "the Beast", that is to say the anti-Christ, is nothing more than movie-induced fantasy. Never mind the fact that the prediction was made 2000 years ago.
I believe that if we get the awaited 'Phoenix Transformation' we will catch at least a high profile glimpse of new and an upcoming world leader who will stun the world with his seeming courage, morality and amazing solutions to the world's problems, specifically the issue of what to do with the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.

The Real Result - Hard to say on this one, we could have seen the long awaited Beast, but at least for now, it doesn't seem that way. POINTS: 0 of 1

ISRAELI NATIONAL ELECTIONS - March 2006
The Real Prediction - This is a difficult nut to crack. I believe that if Sharon runs for the position, he will win. Why? Who knows. The man sold his people out to a group of terrorist thugs in order to achieve peace.
But perhaps the bigger question is will he run if he is having the reported heart problems as a result of his minor stroke? I believe the answer is yes.
The Real Result - Sharon was ready to run and then slipped into a coma. So The Real Effect nails it with -
"perhaps the bigger question is will he run if he is having the reported heart problems as a result of his minor stroke?" POINTS: 1 of 2

THE DOWNFALL OF RELIGION - Winter 2006-2007
The Real Prediction - With 'radicals' being blamed for most if not all of the terrorist acts in the world, Look for a start of a clarion call to 'harmonize' and 'unite' the world in their common belief in a creator. The problem? It's a set-up for a one-world religion that defies Satan and man.
The Real Result - Ok, so 4am is a terrible time for grammar. However, much ink has been spilled since this prediction over the "dangers' of religion and how all should be united into one global religion. POINTS: 2 of 3

BILL CLINTON, U.N. CHIEF - February or July 2006
The Real Prediction - Despite growing anti-American sentiment worldwide, Clinton's Tsunani and Hurricane relief work help peg him as a 'great humanitarian' and what more fitting a post than the head of the United Nations?

The Real Result - True to the prediction, Bill is getting plenty of kudos for his work. However, nothing has happened and Mr. Clinton is not in the position. POINTS: 2 of 4

ESCALATING WARS - 2006
The Real Prediction - As Iraq-weariness begins to set in, Bush shifts strategy to going after Iran and/or Syria as another 'theater' in the global struggle on terror.
Another possibility is that a total surprise retaliation/attack, Russia attacks Israel but is totally defeated.
Yet on the horizon still looms North Korea and most likely China. Perhaps 2009?

The Real Result - Perhaps the story of the year was the American people's rejection of the War in Iraq and Bush's stance with Iran. Like shooting fish in a barrel. POINTS: 3 of 5

TERRORISM - 2006
The Real Prediction - 2005 saw the 777 UK rail bombings and many small terrorist attacks in Bali, Jordan and Iraq. Potential targets include: The Dome on the Rock, Al Aqsa mosque, the Vatican, Chicago's Sears Tower, Italy's 2006 Winter Olympics and Superbowl XV.
The Real Result - All good targets, but no such luck. POINTS: 3 of 6

AMERICAN DECLINE - 2006
The Real Prediction - With wars waging at home and abroad, America's global defeat seems imminent.
  • Economy - A further decline as the housing market continues to cool. POINTS: 4 of 7
  • Government - (Elections in November) - The Republicans will begin to pay for their outspoken arrogance. In representative seats. Watch for fallout from Republican scandal, oil prices, overspending, Constitutional encroachment, war fatigue, and Democratic whining to give the Dems control of the House. POINTS: 5 of 8
  • Immigration - New border wall gets defunded or stalled. Border violence escalates. POINTS: 6 of 9
  • Police State - A continuation of the denigration of the Constitution. RealID is integrated into RFID, CCTV nationwide as we begin to 'not tolerate' a lack of identification. Checkpoints begin to solidify into border controls/anti-terrorism measures. POINTS: 7 of 10
GAS & CRUDE PRICES - April 2006

The Real Prediction - Look for the trend that has been established over the last few years to continue. Gas starts to head upwards as it looks for equalization with overseas markets. Overseas, the price starts heading up to with $6 a gallon in the U.K. and much of Europe and close to if not just over $4 a gallon here in the U.S. POINTS: 7.5/11
Total Result - 7.5 out of 11 or 69%

Not bad, especially when you consider that predictions are being made about global trends. Not easy.
