The 11th Anniversary of 9/11 ~ Paul Craig Roberts

By Dr. Paul Craig Roberts -
The article below was written for the Journal of 9/11 Studies for the eleventh anniversary of September 11, 2001, the day that terminated accountable government and American liberty. It is posted here with the agreement of the editors.

In order to understand the improbability of the government’s explanation of 9/11, it is not necessary to know anything about what force or forces brought down the three World Trade Center buildings, what hit the Pentagon or caused the explosion, the flying skills or lack thereof of the alleged hijackers, whether the airliner crashed in Pennsylvania or was shot down, whether cell phone calls made at the altitudes could be received, or any other debated aspect of the controversy.

You only have to know two things.

One is that according to the official story, a handful of Arabs, mainly Saudi Arabians, operating independently of any government and competent intelligence service, men without James Bond and V for Vendetta capabilities, outwitted not only the CIA, FBI, and National Security Agency, but all 16 US intelligence agencies, along with all security agencies of America’s NATO allies and Israel’s Mossad. Not only did the entire intelligence forces of the Western world fail, but on the morning of the attack the entire apparatus of the National Security State simultaneously failed. Airport security failed four times in one hour. NORAD failed. Air Traffic Control failed. The US Air Force failed. The National Security Council failed. Dick Cheney failed. Absolutely nothing worked. The world’s only superpower was helpless at the humiliating mercy of a few undistinguished Arabs.

It is hard to image a more far-fetched story–except for the second thing you need to know: The humiliating failure of US National Security did not result in immediate demands from the President of the United States, from Congress, from the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and from the media for an investigation of how such improbable total failure could have occurred. No one was held accountable for the greatest failure of national security in world history. Instead, the White House dragged its feet for a year resisting any investigation until the persistent demands from 9/11 families for accountability forced President George W. Bush to appoint a political commission, devoid of any experts, to hold a pretend investigation.

On 9/11 Doubts Were Immediate

On September 11, 2001, a neighbor telephoned and said, “turn on the TV.” I assumed that a hurricane, possibly a bad one from the sound of the neighbor’s voice, was headed our way, and turned on the TV to determine whether we needed to shutter the house and leave.

What I saw was black smoke from upper floors of one of the World Trade Center towers. It didn’t seem to be much of a fire, and the reports were that the fire was under control. While I was trying to figure out why every TV network had its main news anchor covering an office fire, TV cameras showed an airplane hitting the other tower. It was then that I learned that both towers had been hit by airliners.

Cameras showed people standing at the hole in the side of the tower looking out. This didn’t surprise me. The airliner was minute compared to the massive building. But what was going on? Two accidents, one on top of the other?

The towers—the three-fourths or four-fifths of the buildings beneath the plane strikes–were standing, apparently largely undamaged. There were no signs of fire except in the vicinity of where the airliners had hit. Suddenly, one of the towers blew up, disintegrated, and disappeared in fine dust. Before one could make any sense of this, the same thing happened to the second tower, and it too disappeared into fine dust.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6alf9_xswA

The TV news anchors compared the disintegration of the towers to controlled demolition. There were numerous reports of explosions throughout the towers from the base or sub-basements to the top. (Once the government put out the story of terrorist attack, references to controlled demolition and explosions disappeared from the print and TV media.) This made sense to me. Someone had blown up the buildings. It was completely obvious that the towers had not fallen down from asymmetrical structural damage. They had blown up.

The images of the airliners hitting the towers and the towers blowing up were replayed time and again. Airliners hit the top portions of the towers, and not long afterward the towers blew up. I turned off the TV wondering how it was that cameras had been ready to catch such an unusual phenomenon as an airplane flying into a skyscraper.

I don’t remember the time line, but it wasn’t long before the story was in place that Osama bin Laden and his al Qaeda gang had attacked the US. A passport had been found in the rubble. Another airliner had flown into the Pentagon, and a fourth airliner had crashed or been shot down. Four airliners had been hijacked, meaning airport security had failed four times on the same morning. Terrorists had successfully assaulted America.

When I heard these reports, I wondered. How could a tiny undamaged passport be found in the rubble of two skyscrapers, each more than 100 stories tall, when bodies, office furniture and computers could not be found? How could airport security fail so totally that four airliners could be hijacked within the same hour? How could authorities know so conclusively and almost immediately the names of the perpetrators who pulled off such a successful attack on the world’s only superpower, when the authorities had no idea that such an attack was planned or even possible?

These questions disturbed me, because as a former member of the congressional staff and as a presidential appointee to high office, I had high level security clearances. In addition to my duties as Assistant Secretary of the US Treasury, I had FEMA responsibilities in the event of nuclear attack. There was a mountain hideaway to which I was supposed to report in the event of a nuclear attack and from which I was supposed to take over the US government in the event no higher official survived the attack.

The more the story of 9/11 was presented in the media, the more wondrous it became. It is not credible that not only the CIA and FBI failed to detect the plot, but also all 16 US intelligence agencies, including the National Security Agency, which spies on everyone on the planet, and the Defense Intelligence Agency, Israel’s Mossad, and the intelligence agencies of Washington’s NATO allies. There are simply too many watchmen and too much infiltration of terrorist groups for such a complex attack to be prepared undetected and carried out undeterred.

Washington’s explanation of the attack implied a security failure too massive to be credible. Such a catastrophic failure of national security would mean that the US and Western Europe were never safe for one second during the Cold War, that the Soviet Union could have destroyed the entire West in one undetected fell swoop.

As a person whose colleagues at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington were former secretaries of state, former national security advisors, former CIA directors, former chairmen of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, I was troubled by the story that a collection of individuals unsupported by a competent intelligence service had pulled off the events of 9/11.

As a person with high level government service, I knew that any such successful operation as 9/11 would have resulted in immediate demands from the White House, Congress, and the media for accountability. There would have been an investigation of how every aspect of US security could totally fail simultaneously in one morning. Such a catastrophic and embarrassing failure of the national security state would not be left unexamined.

NORAD failed. The US Air Force could not get jet fighters in the air. Air Traffic Control lost sight of the hijacked airliners. Yet, instead of launching an investigation, the White House resisted for one year the demands of the 9/11 families for an investigation. Neither the public, the media, nor Congress seemed to think an investigation was necessary. The focus was on revenge, which the Bush neocon regime said meant invading Afghanistan which was alleged to be sheltering the perpetrator, Osama bin Laden.

Normally, terrorists are proud of their success and announce their responsibility. It is a way to build a movement. Often a number of terrorist groups will compete in claiming credit for a successful operation. But Osama bin Laden in the last video that is certified by independent experts said that he had no responsibility for 9/11, that he had nothing against the American people, that his opposition was limited to the US government’s colonial policies and control over Muslim governments.

It makes no sense that the “mastermind” of the most humiliating blow in world history ever to have been delivered against a superpower would not claim credit for his accomplishment. By September 11, 2001, Osama bin Laden knew that he was deathly ill. According to news reports he underwent kidney dialysis the following month. The most reliable reports that we have are that he died in December 2001. It is simply not credible that bin Laden denied responsibility because he feared Washington.

But Osama bin Laden was too useful a bogeyman, and Washington and the presstitute media kept him alive for another decade until Obama needed to kill the dead man in order to boost his sinking standings in the polls so that Democrats would not back a challenger for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Numerous bin Laden videos, every one pronounced a fake by experts, were released whenever it was convenient for Washington. No one in the Western media or in the US Congress or European or UK parliaments was sufficiently intelligent to recognize that a bin Laden video always showed up on cue when Washington needed it. “Why would the ‘mastermind’ be so accommodating for Washington?” was the question that went through my mind every time one of the fake videos was released.

The 9/11 “investigation” that finally took place was a political one run from the White House. One member of the commission resigned, declaring the investigation to be a farce, and both co-chairman and the legal counsel of the 9/11 Commission distanced themselves from their report with statements that the 9/11 Commission was “set up to fail,” that resources were withheld from the commission, that representatives of the US military lied to the commission and that the commission considered referring the false testimony for criminal prosecution.

One would think that these revelations would cause a sensation, but the news media, Congress, the White House, and the public were silent.

All of this bothered me a great deal. The US had invaded two Muslim countries based on unsubstantiated allegations linking the two countries to 9/11, which itself remained uninvestigated. The neoconservatives who staffed the George W. Bush regime were advocating more invasions of more Muslim countries. Paul O’Neill, President Bush’s first Treasury Secretary, stated publicly that the Bush regime was planning to invade Iraq prior to 9/11. O’Neill said that no one at a National Security Council meeting even asked the question, why invade Iraq? “It was all about finding a way to do it.”

http://articles.cnn.com/2004-01-10/politics/oneill.bush_1_roomful-of-deaf-people-education-of-paul-o-neill-national-security-council-meeting?_s=PM:ALLPOLITICS

The leaked top secret Downing Street Memo written by the head of British intelligence (MI6) confirms Paul O’Neill’s testimony. The memo, known as the “smoking gun memo” whose authenticity has been confirmed, states that “President George W. Bush wants to remove Saddam Hussein, through military action, justified by the conjunction of terrorism and WMD. But the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy.” In other words, the US invasion of Iraq was based on nothing but a made up lie.

As an engineering student I had witnessed a controlled demolition. When films of the collapse of WTC building 7 emerged, it was obvious that building 7 had been brought down by controlled demolition. When physics instructor David Chandler measured the descent of the building and established that it took place at free fall acceleration, the case was closed. Buildings cannot enter free fall unless controlled demolition has removed all resistance to the collapsing floors.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lESol88wOi0

If airliners brought down two skyscrapers, why was controlled demolition used to bring down a third building?

I assumed that structural architects, structural engineers, and physicists would blow the whistle on the obviously false story. If I could see that something was amiss, certainly more highly trained people would.

The first physicist to make an effective and compelling argument was Steven Jones at BYU. Jones said that explosives brought down the twin towers. He made a good case. For his efforts, he was pressured to resign his tenured position. I wondered whether the federal government had threatened BYU’s research grants or whether patriotic trustees and alumni were the driving force behind Jones’ expulsion. Regardless, the message was clear to other university based experts: “Shut up or we’ll get you.”

Steven Jones was vindicated when chemist Niels Harrit of the University of Copenhagen In Denmark reported unequivocally that the scientific team in which he participated found nano-thermite in the residue of the twin towers. This sensational finding was not mentioned in the US print and TV media to my knowledge.

Several years after 9/11 architect Richard Gage formed Architects and Engineers for 9/11 truth, an organization that has grown to include 1,700 experts. The plans of the towers have been studied. They were formidable structures. They were constructed to withstand airliner hits and fires. There is no credible explanation of their failure except intentional demolition.

I also found disturbing the gullibility of the public, media, and Congress in the unquestioning acceptance of the official stories of the shoe-bomber, shampoo and bottled water bomber, and underwear bomber plots to blow up airliners in transit. These schemes are farcical. How can we believe that al Qaeda, capable of pulling off the most fantastic terrorist attack in history and capable of devising improvised explosive devices (IEDs) that kill and maim US troops and destroy US military vehicles would rely on something that had to be lighted with a match? The shoe and underwear bombers would simply have pushed a button on their cell phones or laptops, and the liquid bomb would not have required extended time in a lavatory to be mixed (all to no effect).

None of this makes any sense. Moreover, experts disputed many of the government’s claims, which were never backed by anything but the government’s story line. There is no independent evidence that anything was involved other than firecracker powders.

The case of the underwear bomber is especially difficult to accept. According to witnesses, the underwear bomber was not allowed on the airliner, because he had no passport. So an official appears who walks him onto the airliner bound for Detroit on Christmas day. What kind of official has the authority to override established rules, and what did the official think would happen to the passenger when he presented himself to US Customs without a passport? Any official with the power to override standard operating practices would know that it was pointless to send a passenger to a country where his entry would be rejected.

The circumstantial evidence is that these were orchestrated events designed to keep fear alive, to create new intrusive powers for a new over-arching federal policy agency, to accustom US citizens to intrusive searches and a police force to conducting them, and to sell expensive porno-scanners and now more advanced devices to the Transportation Safety Administration. Apparently, this expensive collection of high-tech gadgetry is insufficient to protect us from terrorists, and in August 2012 the Department of Homeland Security put in an order for 750 million rounds of ammunition, enough to shoot every person in the US 2.5 times.

Naive and gullible Americans claim that if some part of the US government had been involved in 9/11, “someone would have talked by now.” A comforting thought, perhaps, but nothing more. Consider, for example, the cover-up by the US government of the 1967 Israeli attack on the USS Liberty that killed or wounded most of the crew but failed to sink the ship. As the survivors have testified, they were ordered in a threatening way not to speak about the event. It was twelve years later before one of the USS Liberty’s officers, James Ennes, told the story of the attack in his book, Assault on the Liberty. I continue to wonder how the professionals at the National Institute of Standards and Technology feel about being maneuvered by the federal government into the unscientific position NIST took concerning the destruction of the WTC towers.

What will be the outcome of the doubts about the official story raised by experts? I worry that most Americans are too mentally and emotionally weak to be able to come to grips with the truth. They are far more comfortable with the story that enemies attacked America successfully despite the massive national security state in place. The American public has proved itself to be so cowardly that it willingly, without a peep, sacrificed its civil liberty and the protections of law guaranteed by the Constitution in order to be “safe.”

Congress is not about to expose itself for having squandered trillions of dollars on pointless wars based on an orchestrated “new Pearl Harbor.” When the neoconservatives said that a “new Pearl Harbor” was a requirement for their wars for American/Israeli hegemony, they set the stage for the 21st century wars that Washington has launched. If Syria falls, there is only Iran, and then Washington stands in direct confrontation with Russia and China.

Unless Russia and China can be overthrown with “color revolutions,” these two nuclear powers are unlikely to submit to Washington’s hegemony. The world as we know it might be drawing to a close.

If enough Americans or even other peoples in the world had the intelligence to realize that massive steel structures do not disintegrate into fine dust because a flimsy airliner hits them and limited short-lived fires burn on a few floors, Washington would be faced with the suspicion it deserves.

If 9/11 was actually the result of the failure of the national security state to deter an attack, the government’s refusal to conduct a real investigation is an even greater failure. It has fallen to concerned and qualified individuals to perform the investigative role abandoned by government. The presentations at the Toronto Hearings, along with the evaluations of the Panel, are now available, as is the documentary film, “Explosive Evidence–Experts Speak Out,” provided by Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth.

The government’s agents and apologists try to deflect attention from disturbing facts by redefining factual evidence revealed by experts as the product of “a conspiracy culture.” If people despite their brainwashing and lack of scientific education are able to absorb the information made available to them, perhaps both the US Constitution and peace could be restored. Only informed people can restrain Washington and avert the crazed hegemonic US government from destroying the world in war.

Moody's to Cut US Rating - Cue Faux Republican Outrage

In what is sure to become another notch in the 'Elections matter!' belt, Moody's warns the US that it can't get around the brick wall -
Budget negotiations during the 2013 Congressional legislative
session will likely determine the direction of the US government’s Aaa
rating and negative outlook, says Moody’s Investors Service in the
report “Update of the Outlook for the US Government Debt Rating.”

If those negotiations lead to specific policies that produce a
stabilization and then downward trend in the ratio of federal debt to
GDP over the medium term, the rating will likely be affirmed and the
outlook returned to stable, says Moody’s.

If those negotiations fail to produce such policies, however,
Moody’s would expect to lower the rating, probably to Aa1.
This should end well. If by well we mean in a collapsed economy with hysterical women screaming about their lack of divorce programming. This is very easy to understand - There is not a single candidate that proposes doing anything about the wall. The Republicans are blaming the Democrats but they both spend like drunken sailors going to war. Paul Ryan isn't going to save you, Obama isn't going to spend you into prosperity. They both realize that the game is over, they're trying to find their spots on the new ship.

New NEWS - BBC Video - WTC 7 - Prior Knowledge

Update: Now this is interesting. The BBC is agreeing with the 'conspiracy theory'.

Chicago Teachers Go On Strike

Following in the footsteps of Wisconsin, the IMF riots move from the fringe to the populace -
Chicago teachers began walking the picket line for the first time in 25 years Monday morning at the nation’s third largest school system, leaving parents to scramble for alternatives for their children.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel quickly blasted the strike announcement as “a strike of choice.” He repeatedly declared Sunday night: “My team is available now.” He is expected to hold a news conference Monday morning to turn up the heat more on the union and had already cancelled a fund-raising appearance later in the day.
And why are they striking?
Key disputed issues in the talks were teacher cost of living raises, additional pay for experience, job security in the face of annual school closures and staff shakeups, and a new teacher evaluation process that ties teacher ratings in part to student test score growth.

“Evaluate us on what we do, not on the lives of our children we do not control,” Lewis said Sunday, denouncing the online process by which teacher evaluators were being trained.

CTU officials contend that CPS’ offer of raises over the next four years does not fairly compensate them for the 4 percent raise they lost this past school year and the longer and “harder” school year they will face this school year, with the introduction of a tougher new curriculum.

The union also has pushed for improved working conditions, such as smaller class sizes, more libraries, air-conditioned schools, and more social workers and counselors to address the increasing needs of students surrounded by violence — all big-ticket items. CPS officials contend they are seeking a “fair” contract, with raises for teachers, but are limited by funding and the threat of a $1 billion deficit at the end of this school year.
Reports are filtering in that the union has turned down a $400 Million Deal that included a 16% pay raise on top of an average wage of $76k per year before benefits. You poor, poor mistreated educators. If only someone would give you a raise. Of course not entering this discussion is the quality of the product produced -
I can speak to this because I used to run a company in Chicago. We had to institute a screening test for applicants as it was utterly common to have someone come in for an entry-level job, requiring nothing more than a High School education who could not read, could not write a common business letter and could not make change for a $20 without needing a calculator or computer!

That's ridiculous.

And common.
Anyone that has followed me for any period of time knows of my utter contempt for most public unions and their effect on the economy. Try asking a unionista once 'Just how much money do you think you should get?' and the answer will almost always follow the same line of thinking.

Relative.

'Uh, I need 10% more for this year.' and 'We need a working wage.' and 'It's for the children, we need more.' and 'Don't you know how hard it is?!?'

All of these responses pale in comparison to the capitalist's answer. 'How about $20 an hour?'

Note the differences. The unionista will never, ever be satisfied with his compensation because someone, somewhere will always be making more. Therefore, he must get more. It doesn't matter if the market can support it, the taxpayers should sacrifice more! It doesn't matter if the product is inferior, those lazy parents need to help more! All of their proposed solutions involve more money and blaming someone else.

Ok teachers, how do you propose that works when your State is beyond bankrupt? Your pension fund is reportedly done in 6 years and how about the fact that your credit recently  was in a worse state than Portugal? You can't borrow, you can't raise taxes much without blowing your economy up and there's a limit to how much you can stiff people with bills to pay!

Of course all of this is a scam. The unionistas are being driven by the state to take on the taxpayers, the taxpayers are against the public sector and the banksters laugh all the way to the bank.

Look for the unrest to spread as the bills become harder and harder to cover with faulty paperwork. This is certainly going to be a crazy 4th quarter.

UPDATE: Just to drive home the point that the unions do not merit a pay raise, they deserve a boot out the door for these absolutely abysmal results -
Seventy-nine percent of the 8th graders in the Chicago Public Schools are not grade-level proficient in reading, according to the U.S. Department of Education, and 80 percent are not grade-level proficient in math.
So 80% are flunking? That matches with what Denninger reported above. But what does this have to do with the strike?
...one of the major issues behind the strike is a new system Chicago plans to use for evaluating public school teachers in which student improvement on standardized tests will count for 40 percent of a teacher’s evaluation. Until now, the evaluations of Chicago public school teachers have been based on what a Chicago Sun Times editorial called a “meaningless checklist.”

I see. The payee wants accountability for their dollars coming in with a 80% failure rate and the unions response is to demand a RAISE!?!

GIVE THEM ALL THE BOOT!

Roberts - The Republicans Cross The Rubicon

It appears that I'm not the only one comparing the Republicans to Nazis, Dr. Paul Craig Roberts chimes in -
It was the German left-wing’s weak opposition to the National Socialists that gave the world Hitler.

The Republican Party has become the Party of Hate. Decades of frustration have made Republicans mean. They object to everything that has happened since the Great Depression in the 1930s to make the US a more just and humane society.

The Republican Party wants power so that it can smash all vestiges of regulation and welfare and all those of whom Republicans disapprove: the poor, the minorities, liberals, the imagined “foreign enemies,” war protestors and others who challenge authority, those American weaklings who have compassion for the unfortunate, the US Constitution, that pinko-liberal-commie document that coddles criminals, illegal aliens, and terrorists, and all dissenters from the policy of enriching the one percent at the expense of the 99 percent.

Above all else, the Republicans want to turn Social Security and Medicare into profit centers for private corporations.

Would the world be surprised if Republicans donned brown shirts? America has declared itself to be “the indispensable nation,” justifying its hegemony over the world. Any country that does not submit to Washington is “a foe.” The neoconservative propaganda that America is the indispensable nation with a right to world hegemony sounds a lot like “Deutschland uber alles.”
The rallying cry of the right has become "Anyone but Obama" based in part upon the erroneous assumption that no one could be worse. This is exactly the way the left felt about Bush in 2008. From their perspective Bush had destroyed the economy, engaged in several illegal wars, spied on the American people and oppressed the poor.

We must get rid of Bush! They reasoned correctly.

However, in their myopic drive to push someone out, they let someone worse in.  And to make the matter all that more egregious, he was not only worse, he was exponentially worse! More wars, usurpation of congressional power, assassinations of American citizens, were all permitted because the good people of the Democratic party listened to the liar Obama.

Four years later and Republicans are about to prove that they have learned nothing at all from their colleagues across the aisle.

Anybody but Obama indeed. Don't come complaining to the rest of the country when Romney dusts off his leather boots and begins to stomp your parents with them. You've been warned.

Update: Here's a flashback to bring some of this home for you. Hot on the heels of the now discredited 'liquid bomb' plot, then Governor Mitt Romney was all too eager to roll out the National Guard to 'protect' things at the airports.

The Ring of Power Beckons Republicans at the RNC

The right demonstrates that they will crush whoever stands in their way of a statist victory -
But the specific rules change that stuck in the craw of conservative delegates the most was the one that, effectively, would allow presidential campaigns to dump any elected delegates they didn’t like. The move was clearly aimed at thwarting future attempts by Ron Paul–type insurgents to take control of state conventions and elect their own supporters. This year, Paul forces overwhelmed state-party conventions in Iowa, Nevada, and Minnesota, effectively electing their own delegate slates. Other states, including Maine, Louisiana, and Oregon, saw pitched battles between establishment forces and Paul supporters.

Team Romney was able to ram the proposed changes through the Rules Committee but a substantial minority, some 40 percent, vociferously objected. Conservative RNC members who are masters of parliamentary procedure, such as Morton Blackwell of Virginia and Jim Bopp of Indiana, called for delegates to endorse a “minority report” on the floor to block the proposed changes. Bopp called it “the biggest power grab in the history of the Republican party.”
More replays from 2008 -
The RNC also refused to recognize Paul's delegates from Maine, and this incensed his many supporters, leading to a nasty yelling match on the convention floor immediately before Mitt Romney's nomination. "Seat them now!" the Paulites yelled.
"The Republican National Committee is not transparent and does not have integrity. They stole votes. They stole delegates. They refused to send busses for our delegates. It's a totalitarian process. This is not democracy. It's a really sad day for us. I've worked for Republican candidates since I was 16. We believed the Republican Party had more integrity. Boy, did they prove us wrong."
And -
They're not even allowing us to bring signs in, but they brought in their own [pro-Romney] signs. We couldn't nominate Ron Paul. The 'no' for not passing the rules was louder than the 'aye' and they ruled in favor of the rules. They're cheating. The Republican National Committee is not transparent and does not have integrity. They stole votes. They stole delegates. They refused to send buses for our delegates. It's a totalitarian process. This is not democracy. It's a really sad day for us. I've worked for Republican candidates since I was 16. We believed the Republican Party had more integrity. Boy, did they prove us wrong."

Not announcing other votes -
Listening to the announcement of delegates for the candidates, from the podium they are omitting any votes for other than Mitt Romney.
But not all the votes are for Mitt Romney.  Ron Paul and Rick Santorum have some votes.
They're being intentionally ignored.  Not counted and then announced that he didn't win, ignored as if they never happened.
And how do they feel about it? Listen to it yourself.

Now, how do you suppose this administration, if elected is going to act? With respect to the rule of the law and minorities or an overt power grab in which they will remake the Republic into their own image? Let's go back a few months -
Just as I predicted a rise in the Democrats due to Republican fatigue in 2006, it's easy to see the upcoming rise of nationalistic fascism that is brewing in the Republican party. The Democrats were allowed to take control to in part take the focus of the military misadventures of the US since 9/11. They were allowed to install a Marxist individual extolling the virtues of a Federal utopia via Hope and Change. But the populace is getting wise to Obama's antics and his half-life on the presidency is fading fast.

So it becomes time for the right shoe to take its step forward into an equally fascist, Christian system. Much like Germany got behind the rising star of one Adolph Hitler in the beginning of the 20th century, so too shall the supposed 'right' get behind an increasingly nationalistic and quasi-theocratic regime that will take all of the Federal power and aim it square at the Muslim Brotherhood Mideast and Russia, eventually targeting the Far East as well. (It's like they're working off a script...)

But just as the march to the police state in Germany was born out of a embarrassed national pride due to crushing war reparations incurred with the Treaty of Versaille, so too shall an economically castrated United States seek to regain its former glory by embarking on a program of progressive, systemic increase in death and destruction that first targets minorities and fringe people as well as the poor.

Where Does the Expense Incur? Government Fires Rage

Denninger continues with some of his great work -
Note this one carefully folks...
Publicly hailed as heroes, Stacey Lee Schreiber, 39, and Irma Zamora, 40, raced to help a stricken motorist following a crash Wednesday evening, and were electrocuted by an estimated 4,800 volts of power that flowed from a snapped streetlight fixture into water from a sheared fire hydrant that had flooded a crash scene.
....
However, it was expected that the families of the two dead women and the five civilian would-be rescuers would soon receive legally mandated bills from the city for the emergency services they received, such as hospital transport and on-scene medical paramedic treatment, a fire department official told City News Service.
....
"We can't decide who's innocent, who gets a bill and who doesn't," Humphrey said Friday. "We have no control over this. We are mandated by the city council and the mayor to bill citizens for the services rendered by paramedics and that's what we do."
Oh really?
So let's see.  I have a line item on my property tax bill for "fire and paramedic" services.  I pay that tax every year.  So do you, if you own or rent property (if you rent it's included in the rent.)
The City already got the money for these services -- they are paid to have the people on staff, they're paid for the ambulance, they're paid for the fire station, etc.  You pay for it -- in your taxes.
Then you get charged again if you use what you already paid for and thus own.
And you put up with this.
If a private party attempted to do this it would be ruled a contract of adhesion (you never agreed to such transport or service) and thus void as there was never a meeting of the minds between the parties.
It is only through the jackboot of government that, without your consent, you can be billed for services that were voluntarily provided to you even though you never asked for them and even though you already bought them in advance.
This is roughly what I have been saying all along. Government has been bouncing from 'good idea' to 'good idea' for decades now and nothing is beneath them. Republicans and Democrats literally see their role as overreaching central planners of the Communist variety.

Sobriety checkpoints? Necessary.
Invasion of phone calls? Necessary.
GPS tracking? Necessary
Control of soft drinks? Necessary.

There is literally no end to the 'good' that the state thinks it can do. Even the half-hearted repeal efforts offered by the so-called free-market individuals, Republicans, are usually completed with the exact opposite effort.

This is in part because the monstrosity of government is being run like a corporation and has developed a life of its own. It must protect itself, not it's citizens, it must grow it's budget continually, it must offer more, bigger, better programs than before. All at the cost of its citizens. This is precisely why this style of government will work in the short run, (20 - 50 years) but will eventually collapse in on itself in the long run. It is inefficient, it is unaccountable and it quite literally doesn't know how to make a good decision because it removes the very mechanism by which it could make a good decision. The free exchange of goods and services in a competitive environment.

We see this playing out in healthcare, finance, the stock market, housing, etc..., yet the two parties are powerless to change it. Why? Because they literally believe more gasoline will literally douse the fires.

Just Who's Calling the Shots?

I use a tint meter but I really don't give a rats a** about writing the violations. I like getting in the car and looking around (Plain View search of the interior while I'm testing all the windows). The heck with it on I 95 you aren't looking for tint its just the reason to get in the vehicle and find something better. Give them a warning and move on to the next one. Interdiction is a high volume game. Nothing says you gotta cite them for the violation.(Verbal Warning) If you find something write the citation and let them throw it out. Who cares about the traffic citation if you get cash or dope. Your PC for the stop is the illegal tint. I went to a lot of Interdiction schools and they all had one thing in common you gotta do a high volume of quick stops. (20 or more per day) If you think you got nothing move on. Don't waste your time writing tickets if you don't have to. Happy Hunting.
So says a supposed officer on a blog about illegal...
Speeding? No
Traffic accidents? No

Window tint.

Let me say that again...window tint.

Let's take a simplified walk through this man's logic -

Illegal drugs may be bad for your health.
Therefore
They must be illegal
Therefore
He must "hunt" for these drugs by finding a workaround on the U.S. Constitution, the supreme law of the land.

Make no mistake, this is exactly why these laws exist. Once an officer can stick his head in your car, he can claim just about anything he wants to justify further investigation. Indeed, this so called officer admits as much. "...really don't give a rats a** about writing the violations. I like getting in the car and looking around (Plain View search of the interior while I'm testing all the windows)."

Now compare that thought process with the following -
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
Human beings love to come up with justifications as to why they don't have to obey the law. In our supposed wisdom, we chain point to point in an attempt to get around the clear dictates of the law.

We have reached a tipping point in the history of this country. We have spent all of our capital, we have abused our imagined moral authority, we have trod over the rights of countless individuals and we like to imagine that we are above The Law.

No, not the law of man as it was repeatedly referenced in the scriptures. The highest law, the supreme law, the law of God. Man in his 'infinite wisdom' comes up with all sorts of great reasons (at least they seem good at the time) as to why it is not only in our best interest, but the others best interest to oppress and cajole them.

However man is on borrowed time when he employs these tactics as often his captives will either rise up and overthrow him as the tyrant that he is or a loving God will ensure that the situation is taken care of.

Silver Roars to Life, Portends a Destructive Fall in the Markets.

Smart money sees the handwriting on the wall -
The last few days have been 'different'. Equities have relinquished their role as QE-sensitizers as Treasuries and precious metals have taken the reins. Perhaps though, as CNBC's Rick Santelli noted earlier, Gold and Silver are acting as barometers of anxiety - as opposed to clarifying QE expectations - as we see both Gold (> $1650) and Silver (> $30) break above their 200DMA and trade back to near five-month highs.

Silver has surged an impressive 9.4% in the last four days - its largest such jump in 10 months - and broken above its 200DMA...
Now I've maintained that there would be civil war, uprisings and general mayhem leading into the end of 2012. This is to set into the motion the chess pieces that have been methodically placed for the last several hundred years. Now, after all the programming has been set, the elite wish to break the backs of all nations and force them into responding with arms, probably nuclear. The violence is just getting started though, first we plunge to create the rationalization to justify the call to arms. Then we shall see war the likes this world has never witnessed.

Belize Unable to Pay Bonds - Default Occuring

Uh oh, here comes the pain!
Belize will miss a coupon payment on about $544 million of bonds and is unlikely to pay creditors during a 30-day grace period that starts today, Finance Secretary Joseph Waight said.

The Central American nation, which owes investors about $23 million today, can’t make the payment, Waight said in a phone interview from Belmopan City. The government has been in talks with debt holders about a restructuring, its second since 2007.

“We simply do not have the capacity to make the payment,” Waight said. “We are hoping to engage with creditors as quickly as possible.”
Now South America seems to be perpetually in a state of default, however the problem becomes that just about everyone is leveraged to the max. When your debt load is massive, you count on these payments in order to pay your bills. If you're shafted, you also must shaft your investors of payments that they are counting on. This continues until someone is able to pony up the cash to stop the defaults.

The Futility of College Debt Bombs

"Conventional thinking" usually remains so until the model which produces the thinking is disproved in some sort of spectacular fashion. In 2000, the thought was that a person 'could not go wrong' investing in the internet or 'working with computers'. Hindsight is a harsh mistress and its revelations are often crystalline as it eventually became clear that there were such things as bad investments in the Tech Bubble. The economy subsequently crashed and the mal-investment bubble corrected somewhat. The same process repeated for the housing bubble of 2008 and countless other foolish decisions through the millenia.

The current bubble being blown in college financing reflects the same poisonous thought process that infected the other manias that blew sky high eventually. It goes roughly like this -
Education is needed to promote advances in production and general well-being. (True)
Therefore in order to grow our society, education needs to take place to create economic growth. (True)
College is an advanced form of education. (True)

Now here is where things typically begin to break down...
Therefore, all college is an investment in economic growth. (False)
Just like Pets.com and now Facebook found out, putting out just any sort of product, no matter how useful is not a guarantee of economic success. Perhaps a good question to ask is 'Is this product necessary?'. If the answer to that question is yes, then money will chase it, profits will be had and the economy will grow. However, if the answer is no, then the company will go bankrupt in short order.

It is with this thought process in mind that we consider the following -
According to government data, compiled by the Treasury Department at the request of SmartMoney.com, the federal government is withholding money from a rapidly growing number of Social Security recipients who have fallen behind on federal student loans. From January through August 6, the government reduced the size of roughly 115,000 retirees' Social Security checks on those grounds. That's nearly double the pace of the department's enforcement in 2011; it's up from around 60,000 cases in all of 2007 and just 6 cases in 2000.

Tens of thousands of retirees have fallen behind on student loans--and the feds are coming after their Social Security benefits. SmartMoney's AnnaMaria Andriotis has details on Lunch Break.

The amount that the government withholds varies widely, though it runs up to 15%. Assuming the average monthly Social Security benefit for a retired worker of $1,234, that could mean a monthly haircut of almost $190. "This is going to catch an awful lot of people off guard and wreak havoc on their financial lives," says Sheryl Garrett, a financial planner in Eureka Springs, Ark.
My favorite statement as of the last few years has been 'How are you going to pay for that?'. For decades, the American answer to that has been deferment, 'I'll pay later...' Eventually that thought gives way to 'I won't have to pay ever because the growth will cover the financing.' (8% growth - 5% interest = 3% profit)
The thought that just about everyone misses is that the cost will have to be paid eventually. The government realises this and this is why they are hitting you where it hurts now.

Initially, $200 a month is not enough to sink a families finances, but soon that number will grow. And since the cost of borrowing eventually will go back up, so will the total bill.

This is why communism doesn't work. NO ONE PAYS THEIR BILLS.

This is what causes the commune to devour more and more assets, resources and eventually countries in an attempt to prop up a failing system. We've seen this in the Soviet Union, we see this today in cities across the US, and we see this in the poisoned thinking of our kinsmen when they refer to the collective when they want their 'next greatest idea EVAH!' to be implemented. In truth, it's a failed concept that prospers in the ideological cesspools seed by....wait for it....wait for it...

Colleges.

Long and short. America is selling the last of its productivity in a failing attempt to protect its economy by buying communism.

Sweet Lenin's ghost the irony is delicious.

Houdini Suspect Shoots Himself, Police Mystified

Darn those invisible, wrong handed guns always shooting people -
Jonesboro Police claim a man who was searched, handcuffed, double-locked and bundled in the back of a patrol car shot himself in the head, an explanation the man’s mother dismisses as a cover-up for murder.

After officers claimed Chavis Carter was in possession of drugs, they searched him before handcuffing him and putting him in the back of a patrol car. The handcuffs were double-locked, making it harder for the lock to be picked.

Police then claim they heard a “thumping noise” before turning around to see Carter slumped on the back seat shot in the head.

“They’re still investigating but they think Chavis, somehow managed to pull out a hidden gun and shot himself in the head,” reports WREG Memphis, despite the fact that officers found no weapon on him during the search.

“I think they killed him, my son wasn’t suicidal,” said the man’s mother Teresa Carter.

She adds that Chavis was shot in the right temple and yet he is left-handed.

Carter also points out that Chavis called his girlfriend while pulled over and assured her that he would be in contact again when he got to jail.
Perhaps the key question that everyone seems to figuratively ask in all of these situations is 'Would an authority figure, lie, steal and abuse/murder you?' One needs to only slightly skim an encyclopedia to find the definitive answer - Uh DUH! History is chock full of sadists, rapists, thieves, and power-mad schemers conspiring (read as PLANNING) to use the power of the State to destroy the innocent. If I am not mistaken, I believe there might be a touch of that pointed out in the Bible as well.

What Americans seem to struggle with, especially Christians as of late, is the possibility that the authorities would commit actual crimes in order to retain their power. It as if the mere concept of Romans 13 absolves a person with power from any responsibility in criminal malfeasance. Just try raising the specter of the DoD or NORAD's abject failures  to protect the country on 9/11; you will assuredly receive some upside-down response to the effect that a system designed specifically to prevent foreign entities from sneaking up on us abjectly failed when it came to dealing with mediocre individual actors with a tactically simple plan. This does not automatically convict the government, merely that there is more than one suspect possible.

Yet, millions react as though this idea is repugnant. They are 'authorities' therefore they are innocent. I maintain that this is exactly how tyranny flourishes. When our founders set up such a government that treated themselves like potential criminals, liberty, prosperity and wealth absolutely exploded in this country.

Let's make this simple. There are 2 sets of suspects in this case. 1) The deceased and 2) The officers. Who has the motive? Who has the weapon? Who has the ABILITY?

Do we know for certain? No. But that's why we go to court, isn't it?

Keep and Bear Arms Shall Not Be Infringed.

Hot on the heels of Scalia stabbing the Republicans in the back, comes this gem -
Some would argue that this is not the time to bring a gun into a theater. But police said James Mapes told them it is exactly the time, telling authorities he brought a gun into a Thornton movie theater Sunday for his own protection.

His handgun was strapped to his waist — he was wearing it so others could see it.

A cell phone video captures Mapes being arrested for possession of a weapon in a liquor and beer establishment, a misdemeanor. Police said he was cooperative and emphasized his right to bear arms.

Technically, police said Mapes was arrested because he was carrying his weapon in a way that caused alarm and fear for others. He received a summons and was later released.

Once theater managers learned of the gun, they quickly evacuated several theaters in the building. About 30 people were affected. Witnesses said it was a frightening ordeal with the Aurora shooting still fresh in their minds.
Remember the 'Theme for 2012'? Are we responsible for our own actions? Let's apply this theme here.

Was Mapes brandishing a firearm?
Brandishing - Wave or flourish (something, esp. a weapon) as a threat or in anger or excitement.
Nope, that wasn't the case here. In reality, others were afraid of his Constitutionally upheld right to carry a firearm, so they complained to the theater owner in order to 'protect' themselves. The theater owner likewise acted to 'protect' his business from the fear of a gun by calling the police. What no one sought to protect was Mapes' right to protect himself from a demonstrated threat that exists in the form of gunmen performing mass shootings in theaters.

A right is only a right as long as it does not interfere with others rights. Put another way, you do not have a right to be protected from risk as the 'right' presupposes the right to remove unwanted behavior from others. For instance, you should be free to paint your house neon yellow as long as it doesn't interfere with another individual's rights. (Note - There is no right to possess value.)

In this instance, all of the individuals 'effected' were projecting their desire to not have scary guns around them over Mapes' right to protect himself if the possibility of assault by a gunmen were to occur. (Consider for a moment that fear was sufficient cause to project a right. Does Mapes' right to not be afraid of being unarmed supersede the fear of others at him carrying a weapon?) Yes, it is frightening to see individuals projecting power, but that is the consequence of the actions of the Batman shooter not Mapes.

The police also perpetrated the ruse that Mapes had no rights, despite the enumerated defense of the Second Amendment to the supreme law of the land, by arresting him for "caus(ing) alarm and fear for others". That arrest reason is nothing but pure garbage perpetrated by cowards who are afraid to do their sworn duty as peace officers and uphold all individual rights, not just those who complain the loudest.

The correct solution to this is for the theater owner to ask Mapes, through the police if necessary, to leave the premises. Through the right of voluntary association this situation could have been completely diffused.

Further, how will this look on Mapes' (cough) permanent record? Will he be denied employment because he was 'arrested for causing alarm and fear in others with a firearm'? Will he be denied other opportunities because he is now a menace to society?

Chilling ideas to consider when the conservative wing of the Supreme Court is floating the concept of disarming the people.

TSA Tyranny Stacking

Consider the following -
Citizen journalist Julio Rausseo, a roaming correspondent for WeAreChange.org, was labeled a “terrorist” and threatened with arrest for filming a TSA checkpoint at the Union train station in Chicago.

An Amtrack police official confronted Rausseo, telling him that the government had sent them video of him filming the checkpoints, warning them to look out for people filming the station. A week after Rausseo filmed the TSA, Amtrack identified the reporter eating at restaurant inside Union Station and confronted him. That conversation is recorded in the following video:

“I’m telling you to your face, do not video tape us,” the Amtrack officer can be heard telling Rausseo in the video. “If you come beyond that point… if you come like you did before, you’re going to jail, Sir. Because it could be used for terrorist activity. Right now, you’re in violation.”

When Rausseo objected that he was a reporter and not a terrorist, the employee asked: “Did you approach us and ask to take video?”

When the reporter responded, “I didn’t think I had to. I thought this was America,” the Amtrack police official told him, “No, America nothing. You know better.”

The incident continued, with the employee demanding his ID and claiming that illegal activity had taken place, before admitting, incredibly, that the company had been sent video of Rausseo filming the checkpoint. Clearly, the company keeping tabs on such “trouble makers.”

“And the video didn’t even come… it came from the government. They sent it to us because now somebody is taking pictures of us doing our activity,” the Amtrack officer finally admitted.
I love discussing the origins of 'authority' with people. It's an incredibly fun topic and makes all sorts of individuals squirm intensely under its demands. Usually it goes something like this -
The Real Effect - Where did that individual get his authority from?
Other party - What do you mean? They are authorities.
TRE - Yes, they are called that, but their authority had to originate somewhere. Say the Constitution...
OP - (stunned silence)

You see, the problem inherit in the presiding view of authority is that it really has no source, no origin. Literally, the authorities are often imposters. They appoint themselves as authorities on something and then festoon upon themselves new powers. This is one of the ongoing problems with the European Union presently. An argument from them would look something like this -
  • I am Authority Figure A. And by virtue of my office, I hold AF power A.
  • I will now declare by the use of AF power A, that I now possess AF Power B as well. (It is a good idea after all.)
  • Behold my new title Authority Figure AB! As such, I now grant myself even more powers....

Such is this case in the example article above. Tyrants often becomes so enamored with their own power that they often grant themselves more power that often conflicts with other powers. Let's look at a few points.
  • Since when does the 4th Amendment have limits?
  • Where does the TSA derive it's right to police individuals at a train station?
  • Filming an activity may be considered potential terrorist activity, but it is not a crime.
  • Does the entity filming the people filming the TSA commit potential terrorism when they engage in filming to catch potential terrorism?
  • Since when did the TSA's powers extend to arresting people AND sending them to jail?
  • When the 'official' stated that reporter was '...in volation...', notice how the TSA doesn't cite what he is violation of. Perhaps a rule that the TSA has? (Note, rules apply to the TSA, NOT the general public.)
So, to summarize - The government derived a power through the Constitution, which itself prohibits these kinds of searches, the right to commit a potential terrorist activity  to prevent citizens from committing a potential terrorist activity and in doing so threatens a suspect of "violating" something which warrants jail.

Yeah, that is what we like to call...messed up.

Why the Government Does Such an Inferior Job

Boomers are a Funny Lot

It appears the boomers have a bit of a problem with the police thugs -
During Independence Day celebrations on July 3, State Police troopers were called in to help maintain order in the mostly senior-citizen community. A 70-year-old man says they used excessive force when arresting him, leaving his arms bruised and wrists bleeding.

“Every time they talk to you it’s in a threatening fashion,” long-time resident Emory Langlolies said during Sunday’s meeting.

Langlolies described his experience with law enforcement on the 3rd as overkill. He claims he was playing patriotic music when town officials marched onto his private property and unplugged his stereo. Langlolies says an officer then crushed the plug to keep him from starting the music again.

“They told my wife, ‘we’re going to come back to clean this mess up. We’re going to charge you $300 an hour and we’re going to take our time doing it,’” Langlolies recounted.

“What’s occurring down here is a slow deterioration of our constitutional rights,” said another Humarock resident speaking at the meeting.
Welcome to Amerika Dad.

I would be very curious to know just how this community voted over the last 20 years. Was McCain the candidate of choice in 2008? Do they support Romney now? Most importantly, do they still support Social Security and Medicare?

The main reason why countless Gen X and Yers despise as many boomers as they do is not some sort of 'class warfare' being perpetrated against the poor, poor Millenial's elders, rather the generations are correctly responding to the class warfare being waged against them. Many of these generations have gravitated towards the message of liberty coming from the likes of Dr. Ron Paul, Judge Andrew Napolitano, and others of like character. They correctly observe that the threat that is destroying this country is not existential in nature, say from the countries of Korea, Vietnam, USSR, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Iran and Syria but more succinctly as emanating from the likes of the Locust Generation

As it has been demonstrated repeatedly, this generation is rarely concerned about an issue unless they perceive it directly threatens their personal wealth and prosperity. For instance, look at the ravages that NAFTA has wrought upon the job prospects of the current crops of young workers. Look at the runaway healthcare costs incurred in the name of 'protecting' the senior citizens. Yet this generation will not bare the load for these bills. No, they will ensure that the current 'lazy, welfare dependent, pot-smoking, back-talking' Gen Xers do their time in the crucible of tax hell.

And to ensure that these rebellious youfs will stay in line, these locusts have supported the increasing hordes of fully armed, war-ravaged veterans, becoming "Law Enforcement Officers". (Note they are NOT peace officers) These individuals are like a loaded weapon pointed at Gen X and Y, stripping them of their Constitutional rights. (Try getting your stolen items back once, you'll likely get a cold shoulder from the LEOs.) Indeed, the locusts often support checkpoints, licensing, zoning, property taxes, Federal schooling, countless foreign wars, Medicare, Social Security, bailouts, etc, with 'exceptions' for their class of course.

Tellingly, when the gun is pointed at the boomers they bray and prattle on about the founding fathers spinning in their graves. they festoon themselves in ribbons and medals and hold parties dedicated to the greatness of themselves. 'I served in Vietnam, support Romney, I love my country.' Patriotism to these individuals is not the observation of something greater than themselves like liberty, it is the flat out idolatry of their collective selves, their country.

Now, I know for a fact that there are a minority of the boomers that are incredibly liberty minded that have literally paved the way for those that are now taking their place at the wheel of history. But ask yourself these questions - If the boomers and to a lesser extent the generations before them haven't committed these iniquities upon their children and grand-children, just who did? Certainly not Gen Y and one would be very hard pressed to argue that Gen X, in their twenties created the spendsational policies of the 1980s.

So here they find themselves, now reaping the fruit of the poison tree wondering at just how when the spent their entire lives perfecting their country, Gen X and Gen Y managed to screw it up soooooo fast...

Syrian - Hezbollah Bombings and Coincidences - Snd Only

Bulgaria, Day 2

Let's start with Israel, we surmised yesterday that Israel would be loud and insistent if they had some sort of axe to grind with Iran, let's check in on Netanyahu -
  • *NETANYAHU THANKS BULGARIA FOR AID TO VICTIMS OF TERROR ATTACK
  • *ISRAEL'S NETANYAHU SAYS IRAN, HEZBOLLAH CARRY OUT GLOBAL TERROR
  • *NETANYAHU SAYS ATTACKS WERE PLANNED IN INDIA, THAILAND
  • *NETANYAHU SAYS HEZBOLLAH ACTED AT BEHEST OF IRAN
  • *NETANYAHU SAYS TOO DANGEROUS TO LET IRAN HAVE NUCLEAR ARMS
  • *NETANYAHU SAYS ISRAEL WILL PURSUE, PUNISH TERRORISTS WITH FORCE
  • *NETANYAHU SAYS WORLD MUST RECOGNIZE IRAN AS TERROR THREAT
Interesting, so why would Israel think this, surely there has to be some sort of reason right -
...Netanyahu was quick to point out that the Bulgarian bus explosion came on the 18th anniversary of a bombing that took place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, at the Argentine Jewish Center that killed 85 people. Argentine prosecutors also blamed this attack on Iran.
Well, since according to Israel, correlation proves causation, we've got this all down right? Unfortunately, it appears that this is actually the 1760th anniversary of "Emperor Julian arriving at Antioch with a Roman expeditionary force (60,000 men) and staying there for nine months to launch a campaign against the Persian Empire." So as you can plainly see, Israel was not the real target, Rome was. Hezbollah just got on the wrong plane and, well, missed.

But certainly we know who the allleged bomber was...this guy right?

But wait, Bulgaria has something to say about this dreaded IRANI....errr...Swedish?!? bomber
The Bulgarian police said that footage from airport security cameras captured the suspect roaming the airport for at least one hour, the Bulgarian news agency Novinite reported. According to the report he was a long-haired Caucasian in sportswear.

The body suspected as belonging to the terrorist had a U.S. driver's license issued in Michigan – apparently fake.

Here's a good question, has anyone asked Iran if they did it?
Iran’s Foreign Minister condemned “all terrorist acts” on Thursday after a suicide bombing in Bulgaria killed seven people Wednesday.

“The Islamic republic, the biggest victim of terrorism, believes terrorism endangers the lives of innocents… is inhumane and so strongly condemns” it, the Arabic-language television channel Al-Alam cited foreign ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast as saying. “Iran’s position is to condemn all terrorist acts in the world,” he added.
While this doesn't preclude their involvement, it's certainly worth noting.

The details that are starting to emerge about the bombing are basically telling us this. Israel is pointing fingers at Iran because of the date, Bulgaria is guessing that the guy that did it is some dude that was wondering around in the airport with a suspicious backpack because he came from Gitmo and was closest to the blast. (Please note that the backpack does not appear to be all that heavy). This is also a contradiction of an earlier report that the blast originated in the luggage area. So in reality, no one has really proven much of anything.

Wait, there's more!
One other interesting note concerning the technical aspects of the attacks. After the bus had exploded, Oren Katz, an Israeli onlooker, was forced by circumstance to assume the role of emergency worker. This is because the Security agents themselves were essentially doing nothing, another strange circumstance that may, or may not, indicate a possible false flag.

Katz recalls, “It was strange that there were so many security people around but none of them seemed to be focused on actually helping the wounded people, and I couldn’t believe that I of all people was the one taking care of this burning woman and stopping her from burning up.”

Strange indeed. However, it is not only strange that the “security people” would not be focused on helping the wounded people, it is strange that they would be there to begin with. More than one Bulgarian citizen has told this writer that security presence – any security presence – at public bus terminals in Bulgaria is an extremely rare event.

In fact, it was stated to me that, “there would be no security at all. They [security personnel/police] would not have been there at all unless they had prior knowledge of something going on.”
What do I think? So far, I believe that some alphabet soup agency told this guy to get on the bus. They told him to bring the backpack and gave him a script. Do I think he did it? Most likely not. This guy is the fall guy. The face that frames the argument. I also believe that the explosive were planted in the luggage container by someone else and that security was around to make sure everything happened like it should.

Who did it? At the moment, you got me. If I had to venture a guess, I would state a Free Syrian/Al-Quaeda type that came through Turkey (Especially given their proximity to Turkey) that was being managed on the ground by an arm of the CIA or Mossad. We'll see how accurate that is as the details come out....

Bulgarian Airport Has 2 Buses Blown Up - False Flag?

An interesting timing of events....
According to Bulgarian press Sega.bg, and confirmed by other wire sources, a bus with 40 Israeli tourists was "blown up" at 5:30 pm local time at the local airport of the seaside town of Bourgas. Sega says that according to BTV "it is an assassination attempt." The bomb was located in the trunk of a white bus with Israel tourists from Israel who were en route to the seaside town of Sunny Beach according to an airport source. The mayor of the city, Dimitar Nikolov confirmed the news according to Sega. Furthermore, according to the airport's website, an Air Via flight from Tel Aviv landed at 4:50 pm local time. The shock wave was so large it also exploded two neighboringing buses located in the arrival area of the airport. The number of casualties is currently unknown, but at least three people are dead according to the local police, with dozens wounded. Sega adds "the flames are huge with three firetrucks on the scene and seven ambulances driving out charred people."
Of course, Iran did it, at least so says Israel -
Benjamin Netanyahu says "all signs point to Iran" in Wednesday's blast in the Bulgarian Black Sea city of Burgas, some 400 kilometers (250 miles) east of the capital, Sofia.

At least three Israeli tourists were killed.

Netanyahu noted that the attack follows similar attempts in India, Georgia, Thailand, Kenya and Cyprus in recent months.

He said "this is an Iranian terror attack that is spreading across the world" and that "Israel will react strongly to Iran's terror."
I believe the key to knowing whether or not a side is lying is to look at the timing, rhetoric and surrounding facts that point to key indicators in complicity and guilt. In this instance let's look at the following facts -
Look for Israel to scream about this in the 'international community' and demand strong and swift condemnation of Iran. The less factual their position, the louder their screaming will be. This is not to say that Iran didn't do it, rather that Israel simply doesn't care one way or the other and is looking to kick start the invasion.

The great intergenerational con

Reprinted from Vox Popoli ~

America should have known the Boomers were evil from the moment they made "never trust anyone over the age of 30" mantra. It's always the liar who assumes everyone else is lying:

Today’s youth, both here and abroad, have been screwed by their parents’ fiscal profligacy and economic mismanagement. Neil Howe, a leading generational theorist, cites the “greed, shortsightedness, and blind partisanship” of the boomers, of whom he is one, for having “brought the global economy to its knees.”...

The screwed generation also enters adulthood loaded down by a mountain of boomer- and senior-incurred debt—debt that spirals ever more out of control. The public debt constitutes a toxic legacy handed over to offspring who will have to pay it off in at least three ways: through higher taxes, less infrastructure and social spending, and, fatefully, the prospect of painfully slow growth for the foreseeable future.

In the United States, the boomers’ bill has risen to about $50,000 a person. In Japan, the red ink for the next generation comes in at more than $95,000 a person. One nasty solution to pay for this growing debt is to tax workers and consumers. Both Germany and Japan, which appears about to double its VAT rate, have been exploring new taxes to pay for the pensions of the boomers.

The huge public-employee pensions now driving many states and cities—most recently Stockton, Calif.—toward the netherworld of bankruptcy represent an extreme case of intergenerational transfer from young to old. It’s a thoroughly rigged boomer game, providing guaranteed generous benefits to older public workers while handing the financial upper echelon a “Wall Street boondoggle” (to quote analyst Walter Russell Mead).
It's not just in the USA either. The "youth movement" was international, and so, unsurprisingly, is the cancer of Boomer-created debt. It's fine to blame today's young for taking on credit card and school loan debt, but let's not forget that it is the Boomers who created the massive public debt as well as making it impossible for those who followed them to do what they did, and shed their school loan debt in bankruptcy.

Fortunately, the time is rapidly approaching when the younger generations can band together and permit the Boomers to experience the consequences they deserve by shutting down their overly generous pensions and refusing to pay for their medical care. They'll keep voting for anyone who promises to serve their self-centered interests, but that will become increasingly irrelevant as more states and localities simply don't have the wherewithal to live up to their contractual obligations.

Iran, Gulf Closure Plan Finsished

The Country Formerly Known as Persia shows that it's serious about closing the Persian Gulf -
Iran has confirmed that its plan to close the Strait of Hormuz has been finalized and is ready to be put into action as soon as confirmation is received from Supreme Leader Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, amidst reports that President Obama has earmarked the first week of October for a potential attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities.

“We have a (contingency) plan for the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, but its implementation requires the decision and order of the commander in chief (the Leader),” Major General Hassan Firouzabadi told reporters.

By now, you should be no stranger to the Gulf strategy as we have covered it here repeatedly, specifically in the Religious War Series where we cover the Iranian response to an Israeli attack -
Phase III - Iranian counterattack against Israeli (Gaza)/US forces closing of gulf (Turkey, Saudi Arabia)

  • Will lead to closing of the Straits of Hormuz,
    • Gas up to $7 -10 a gallon
    • attacks on our aircraft carriers (I'm guessing they will be placed strategically to get shot up by their new attack boats by being too close to the shores of Iran.) We will most likely lose a Nimitz aircraft carrier.
  • Barricade/Mine the Strait of Hormuz. This would be an assertion of Iranian dominance
  • Probable Iran attacks Saudi refineries in retaliation for logistical support of the Israeli plan
How?
  • Super Sunburn Missiles longer range Shahab 3 and 4. Tor M-29 &; Tor M1 9M330, SCUD-B launchers, At one point Iran possessed possibly 100 missiles
    • Shahab-3, a variant of North Korea's No Dong missile. It can be outfitted with high explosives, nuclear devices, EMP's (Electro Magnetic Pulse), and chemical weapons
Like it or not, the Persians are going to fight to win, not to fulfill some semi-strategic UN worshiping world policeman roll like the US. It is my contention that the Iranians realize that by stopping the flow of oil they could possibly bring the US to its knees. This is a ploy that could very well work, especially if they receive the backing of China and Russia.

Of course, if the US is to win it needs to make sure it hits the correct targets -
An American Navy ship fired on a boat in the Persian Gulf today, killing one person and injuring three others aboard the craft, a U.S. naval official told ABC News.

A spokesperson for the Navy's 5th Fleet, which is based in nearby Bahrain, said that a security team aboard the oil supply ship U.S.N.S. Rappahannock fired a .50 caliber machine gun at a "small motor vessel after it disregarded warnings and rapidly approached the U.S. ship" off the coast of Jebel Ali, a city approximately 30 miles from Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

The Navy is investigating the incident as details continue to emerge. A Navy official said the offending vessel was a white pleasure craft, but a UAE official told ABC News it was a fishing boat with four Indians and two Emirates on board. There doesn't appear to be any indication the incident was terror-related, the UAE official said.
I have to admit that I am curious. Is "..it disregarded warnings and rapidly approached the U.S. ship" police speak for 'Man, we really screwed up here. We better paint them as the aggressors so we can continue to protect people!'?

Update: Well, well, well...look at that
The fishermen, hospitalized with gunshot wounds after the incident near Dubai's Jebel Ali port, said on Tuesday that they received no warning before the U.S. craft opened fire, and that their craft had attempted to avoid any contact with it.

"We had no warning at all from the ship, we were speeding up to try and go around them and then suddenly we got fired at," 28-year-old Muthu Muniraj told Reuters from hospital, his legs punctured by the rounds of the U.S. craft's .50-caliber gun.
The US is attempting to mislead, either through the media or the ship that fired. How do we know this? Easy, look at how the US is painting themselves and the victim -
"Non-lethal measures were taken while attempting to signal the vessel," he said, adding that the fishing craft did not respond. "That was when the security team fired rounds from the .50-caliber ... Our ships have an inherent right to self-defense against lethal threats."
and
The United States has been particularly wary of attacks on its ships since two al Qaeda suicide bombers rammed an explosives-laden boat into the USS Cole in 2000, blowing a massive hole in its side and killing 17 U.S. sailors.
That was TWELVE YEARS AGO!

Perhaps the Obama regime was attempting to dust off the old Dick Cheney stage a false-flag attack with fishing boats plan...

On Rights, Freedom, Liberty and Logic

Let's look at our latest example of police violating the rights of citizens -

Using the excuse of attempting to apprehend illegal immigrants, Border Patrol agents have set up a network of unconstitutional checkpoints inside the United States. In this video clip, informed citizen Steven Anderson provides a sterling example of how to stand up for your rights and prove that such checkpoints are unenforceable because they violate the 4th amendment.

The full exchange, courtesy of SHTF Plan, went as follows.
Anderson: Is this Nazi Germany now, that I have to show my papers?
Officer: It’s a simple yes or no. I need an answer or we can detain you until we figure out whether you’re a U.S. citizen.
Anderson: Well, you know what’s more simple is the fact that my freedom is a little more important than you seem to think. Setting up checkpoints where people have to prove that they’re a citizen is not something that America is supposed to be about. So, I’m not sure if you understand that.
Supervisor enters scene: Grunt
Anderson: Grunt
Supervisor: Just pull up over there (points to line of detained cars)
Anderson: No, thank you… I want to go free on my way. Here I am just going about my own business and I don’t need to stop at a checkpoint to prove who I am because this is America. Correct me if I’m wrong – did I stumble into Mexico or is this still the United States?
Supervisor: This is the United States.
Anderson: Therefore, I should have the freedom to travel unmolested, because I’m in America here.
(pause)
Supervisor: Ok, go ahead and go.
Part of the problem with the current batch of right wing idealists is that they literally do not know what they think. They circle around concepts endlessly and frustratedly throw their arms up wildly and proclaim that they are 'right' simply because they are. There is no discussion, there is no reason, there is merely an axiomatic appeal to 'Americana'. Follow the logic with me for a moment here...

We should search bags.
Why?
Because terrorists might get us.
True, but what about the 4th Amendment?
(Note the disconnect here)
What, you want to let the terrorists get us? You're FOR the terrorists. (Indeed, Bush said as much)

These conversations literally jump from logical step 3 to step 10 in one fell swoop. The arguer often switches back and forth between logic, history and emotional appeal not to win an argument, but to implement an agenda. Such is the state of many discussions happening across the country right now. The arguments put forth are commonly shifted into some sort of dualistic thinking there is only two teams playing and to not support the home team, is tantamount to treason.

But this is not the case as it can be effectively argued that the Republic is no longer alive because, as the book of Revelation stated -
Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. ~ Rev 2:4
Simply put, the Republic is built upon an idea that all men should be free to pursue their ambitions, free from government interference, provided they are not  violating the rights of their fellow man. It is to this end, that the laws, edifices and protectors of our nation, be they a police officer or a soldier are erected. They exist to protect the object of our sacrifice, namely our liberty. To the extent that an individual worships the sacrifice and not the object, is the extent that they have abandoned their duty and have begun to serve the creation instead of the creator. In the spiritual sense, this is the root of idolatry, as soon the individual can find no reason not to do something because they literally serve themselves.

More if I can get to it...
