West Point, the Left and Gun Confiscation

"West Point" circulates some real garbage -
A West Point think tank has issued a paper warning America about “far right” groups such as the “anti-federalist” movement, which supports “civil activism, individual freedoms and self-government.”

The report issued this week by the Combating Terrorism Center at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., is titled “Challengers from the Sidelines: Understanding America’s Violent Far-Right.”

The center — part of the institution where men and women are molded into Army officers — posted the report Tuesday. It lumps limited government activists with three movements it identifies as “a racist/white supremacy movement, an anti-federalist movement and a fundamentalist movement.”
Ah yes, statistical guilt by association, lovely. By lumping the KKK, the Patriots and Christians West Point attempts to blur the lines of what a 'terrorist' is. Now, where have we seen that before? It's coming back to me slowly - Texas, terror training, pamphlets...the old terror training manuals. I remember those....

By taking the absurd and many times admitted state sponsored "terrorists" and mixing them in with the definitions of the 'right wing', voila! Instant demonization.
It says anti-federalists “espouse strong convictions regarding the federal government, believing it to be corrupt and tyrannical, with a natural tendency to intrude on individuals’ civil and constitutional rights. Finally, they support civil activism, individual freedoms, and self government. Extremists in the anti-federalist movement direct most their violence against the federal government and its proxies in law enforcement.”
I would agree with everything in that paragraph except the last sentence.As I have repeatedly stated, buzz words like extreme, far-(fill in the blank), reactionary, etc.. are nothing more than relative and subjective standards used to scare people and demonize positions. You believe the Constitution should be law? You're extreme and therefore subject to 'special' rules. But this is not all, nooooo, they have more -
The report also draws a link between the mainstream conservative movement and the violent “far right,” and describes liberals as “future oriented” and conservatives as living in the past.

“While liberal worldviews are future- or progressive -oriented, conservative perspectives are more past-oriented, and in general, are interested in preserving the status quo.” the report says. “The far right represents a more extreme version of conservatism, as its political vision is usually justified by the aspiration to restore or preserve values and practices that are part of the idealized historical heritage of the nation or ethnic community.”
Ah yes, the old 'progressive' line. 'Gramps, us kids are the future, go to the back of the bus!'

But wait, if you buy now, we'll double your offer -
The report adds: “While far-right groups’ ideology is designed to exclude minorities and foreigners, the liberal-democratic system is designed to emphasize civil rights, minority rights and the balance of power.”
Not only are they extreme and old, they're also racist. Ah, it all makes sense now. If you want to create your own country, create your own laws, make money and not share it, you're a bad, bad man.All that's missing from this report is some dose of misogyny and we're set to go.

Of course evidence is something that's in short supply. But hey, trust them, we're baaaad -
The report says there were 350 “attacks initiated by far-right groups/individuals” in 2011.

Details about what makes an attack a “far right” action are not clear in the report, which was written by Arie Perliger, who directs the center’s terrorism studies and teaches social sciences at West Point.
MS13, La Raza, Latin Kings, Gangster Disciples, these are just gangs but uncle Fred? He's a terrorist because he thinks we have law in this country.

Naturally, we could ask just where they get the power from? From us of course -
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.
Got that? The government exists solely to secure our rights. Thankfully Americans are recognizing that they have not only a right that is guaranteed by the Constitution but a responsibility to protect themselves.Think that's outdated? Denninger covers exactly what you are -

There are many lies going on at this point at it is up to you to point them out and expose them. For instance, the left is howling at this point that 'there is no confiscation' and you're 'nuts' if you believe the following -
  • If you own a large capacity magazine greater than 10 round capacity that was a grandfathered magazine as a result of the 1994 Federal Assault Weapon Ban, within a year, you must do one of the following: dispose of it to another person outside New York State, surrender it to law enforcement officials, or permanently alter such to only accept 7 rounds.
  • If you own a 10 round magazine for your gun, you will be allowed to keep such magazine but only be able to load it with 7 rounds unless you are at an exempted location such as a shooting range or competition. In 90 days from enactment you will no longer be able to purchase 10 round magazines, only 7 and lower capacity magazines.
  • Starting in one year, to purchase ammunition, the seller will perform a check to verify that you are not prohibited under the Federal Law disqualifiers (see last page) from possessing a firearm, and will not sell you ammunition if you are prohibited.
Got that? 'Turn it in or else' is not confiscation, it's 'common sense' you bitter clingers. Since we're not physically taking it, it's not confiscation. Since we're doing it a piece at a time, it's not confiscation.

And for those who thing it's the 'religious zealots' that are clinging to their guns, put this in your pipe and smoke it -
The Vatican's chief spokesman the Rev. Federico Lombardi, said Saturday that 47 religious leaders have appealed to members of the U.S. Congress "to limit firearms that are making society pay an unacceptable price in terms of massacres and senseless deaths."

"I am with them," Lombardi said, in an editorial carried on Vatican Radio, lining up the Vatican's moral support in favor of firearm limits.

"The initiatives announced by the American administration for limiting and controlling the spread and use of weapons are certainly a step in the right direction," Lombardi said.
 So when non-genocide is happening because the people are 'only being shot one at a time' by 'their peers' sanctioned by one of the world's largest religions, you can rest assured that it will.never.ever.happen.to.you. -
